Reviews

Has potential

When the app works, I like it. But it is dicy at best, about saving what I have written, if you don't handle it right, the material doesn't get saved, and you have to re enter. It is tricky to move from the expense portion back to the log side, sometimes it works, sometimes not. Ditto with the emailing ability. One time it won't work, then go back in, and you can get it to email. This has real potential, and once these bugs are worked out, I would be more than willing to come back and and give a better star rating. I give it a 3 for now so people won't give up on this, and am trusting with the review, improvements and updates are on the way.

Useful organizer

I use this app for my trips and it has worked out well for me. Particularly the budget setting and analytics are neat, wish I could add more than one picture per expense.

Limited

Great Idea. I'm looking for a trip planner so I spend a buck to try this one. Probably will not use it unless it gains more features: 1. The ability to set the trip start date with a wheel -- now you can only advance one day at a time using the green arrows shown at the top of the second iPAD screen shot 2. Adding alternate currencies does not work. As more features are added I will update my review.

Nice expense report app, but not perfect yet
Amarillo_boy

Definitely worth the price, but could be improved. I would have given it a 5 star rating it it either ignored the time or else pulled it from the clock. As it is, having to manually input the time is annoying, as is the other option of having everything at 8 am.

Use care updating
engr_jack

The update crashed until I restarted my iPad. After restarting, all my prior data was gone.

Great trip organizer

We tried the lite version and really love it so we bought the full version. There are a few things they are still working on like landscape display and export data from lite to full version, when they have done these they will get my 5 star rating. 1) easy to use and self explanatory 2) able to put in details of trip on top of expenses, double as a trip diary 3) able to attach photo is a plus 4) definitely like that we can input data while off Internet 5) prompt response from customer support Ada from Washington State We travel a lot and this is exactly what have been looking for.

Almost there...

Overall pretty intuitive app for tracking budgets....would be great it it could sync trips across both iPad and iPhone. iPhone is great on the go but iPad is good for me and my wife to look at together at the end of the day. Also would design some nice category icons to polish it up beyond clip art. Category creation would also be useful. Otherwise super simple to use.

Junk

Not useful for personal travel such as family trips ect.!

Good, but areas for improvement
Travelaunt

I'm using this calculator to monitor my budget for long term travel ( months away backpacking). Therefore I don't enter every purchase separately, but bunch them by day under the category of Activities. Big purchases like lodging and airfare get their own entry, though. The calculator is good for giving a running total of how much is left in my total budget. The biggest improvement the designer could make would be the ability to call back up past purchases. For example, I'd like to be able to see not just a total of what I spent on hotels, but be able to call up the past hotel entries to see what I spent where. Likewise it would be nice to be able to call up the current day to amend. Also, it would be nice if the calculator assumed the current date when you make an entry, instead of having to enter it. Finally, since I do bunch food, laundry, activities, etc together, it would be nice if there was a calculator on screen. As it is, I have to close and go to another ap. Also, it would be great if you could enter the total number of days of your trip, which the ap would count down, and each day give a total "$ per day"budget left. So maybe a new ap for the long term traveler?

It's ok

Would have rated 3 stars if it had been free. It is pretty easy to use but could use a decent amount of work. It seems like it should do more than it does. I'm still not exactly sure how this would be really beneficial. It's not the worst app but far from the best.
