Calculate correctly and think strategically.
Using the four operations you fight to conquer the game pieces and collect points.
Keep in mind that it’s not always the easiest solution that’s the best one to choose in order to win.
Being close to previously conquered pieces nets you more points. Don’t forget the bonus pieces!
The goal is to collect as many points as possible within a certain amount of time or to be the first to reach the max score.
TrioMath is a math board game for 2-5 players where you challenge each other or for 1 player where you attempt to reach first place on the leaderboard.
TrioMath is developed in collaboration with special education teachers in math and is played in schools with both joy and success. The game is suited for all ages from 5 years and up.
The excitement and challenge of the game helps with training mathematical knowledge in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and the use of parentheses while at the same time giving you rewards for your strategic thinking.
Math should be fun and everyone can improve their mental calculations!
My 5th/6th grade students enjoyed playing this app and had a lot of fun competing with order of operations. My only advice is to turn off that background music from the start because it is very annoying and there doesn't seem a way to do it mid-game.
This is a fun app for my 5th and 6th graders to practice order of operations with a strategy twist. My best advice is eliminate the background music from the beginning because once you play you can’t seem to do it until the end. The music is very annoying but a great game overall!
I like the idea of using the order of operations to determine what the total of three numbers (or in this case, cards) would be, but this game is too dependent on luck and not as much on skill. Also, the user doesn't need to actually do the math since the app gives the answers. The concept is a good one but not enough math practice for me to recommend this as an educational game.
I like that this app forces students to use order of operations and apply the use of parenthesis!
This is a nice app to help practice the order of operations. I like the idea of being able to use the parenthesis and how your answer is computed to see that you are accurate with your response.
This app is a lot of fun for my 3rd and 4th grade students! Three students can play the game quickly while trying to use their best strategies to get the highest score! I don't have a lot of apps that can move this quickly with all three students getting a chance to take several turns in 5 - 10 minutes!
Nice game for order of operations. I would make it so the kids have a choice to see the answer of their grouping or to figure it out no their own. That would help with the development of order of operations skills.
