Almost a good app

This app is almost good but for two huge issues. One is that you do not get the game you are most likely to choose at the top of your suggested games. Two is that the AI is atrocious at any game you choose. The programming team needs to add a simple logic to not allow 4 bids without a jack present unless your team is desperate. Otherwise the game play is fine.

As others have said, this is the best Pitch app I’ve seen. It’s great to play other people, but the computer players are flawed- leading with the low, trumping a hand that their partner already has won, bidding four recklessly in some iterations of the game. One thing that I find frustrating is that my game of choice is sometimes at the top of the options of formats and other times 3/4 down the screen, so one must be careful not to pick the slightly different option, like low to holder instead of taker.

I really like playing with other players but when your partner is a Bot it can be frustrating. I play 10 pt team min bid of 5 and more often than not the Bot bids 8 without the Ace or the deuce. Just finished playing and we got set two consecutive games where the Bit bid 8 when it didn’t need to. This happens all the time. Pretty much wipes out any chance of winning. Very challenging when there are 4 people playing.

Grew up playing pitch at family gatherings. Those gatherings have all but gone away over the years. Love that I found this app and can play a few hands whenever the mood strikes. Excellent work!

The bots virtually ruin what is otherwise the best pitch app available. Considering you can spend real $ if my partner bails having a bot that is so bad winning is impossible is enough to delete the app...almost. Fix that this is 5*

When starting a general game you get thrown into a game in progress and have no idea what’s been played previously. The computer players are absolutely clueless and ALWAYS play their highest off suit cards no matter the situation. They also will bid and lead a small trump suit card while holding a king or queen and rarely lead a second trump card. I’ve actually seen computer players bid and lead out the deuce of trump as the first card! It’s frustrating to watch opponents drop the low because the bidder doesn’t lead trump twice. You cannot win playing with computer players as your partner. If you have the slightest inkling of basic pitch strategy this simulation will leave you extremely frustrated!

I find that it gives the opposing team points that should go to us. More than once it has given the other team low, when we clearly just took it in the last trick. If this gets fixed, I’ll play again, and give it a better star rating.
