Handy basic identifying tool to get you near the right species. Use the internet to further pinpoint specific species. I'm in Southern IL and has most of our native trees.

I think this will be a really great app but it would be nice if there was pictures of the bark.

I got this with the hope of identifying trees around my new house. It has every single one I wanted to id. Low this app. I can't speak for too much outside of the southeast, as that is where I am located. Otherwise, great app!

This app is pleasant to use, and it was able to find the genus of an unrecognized seedling on the first try. Nice user interface design and images.
Incomplete trees
Try identifying a red oak, you'll understand - the app lacks functionality and the ability to filter or search by geographic location.

I'm not good at trees and I feel this app is perfect, I'm in east tn so there's plenty of trees to look at. I do wish it had more pictures instead of links, sometimes I dont get service but it's free so you really can't beat it. 5*.

SO easy to use! Having tried several other apps for leaf identification, this one actually helps you learn the process of identification as you move through it. My parents were both avid gardeners & naturalists, so I grew up learning to identify plants wherever we traveled or spent time outdoors. I love this app!!
