The game won’t open

I’ve never been able to play this game on iPad iOS 11. I restarted the iPad, I uninstalled and reinstalled, and I followed the developer’s advice about leaving the game open for 10 minutes to apply an “update,” which never happens. I’ve never had trouble with a G5 game before and I wish the devs would bother to address this issue, or remove the game from the store.
