I need an app that provides longitude and latitude for me to use with my go-to telescope. The built-in compass app will provide that information, but sometimes it’s just extraordinarily slow. This app is instantaneous!

We live on live in the Smoky Mountains/Pisgah Forest on the side of a small mountain. We’ve always wondered what the elevation was- now we know. Since we also like the hiking the abundance of trails we often enjoy checking out the elevation when we reach our destination.

Got this to use as rough grade for landscaping near waterfront property in Virginia. Compass accuracy is acceptable. The altimeter is useless. I’m standing at waters edge with iPhone set 36-inches reading 26-ft. Each time the phone is cycled the altimeter indicates a different valve.

Living in the mountains of Northern New Mexico, I use the app all the time while driving off-road. It seems to be accurate and that’s all I need.

I downloaded while at 9600 ft and it shows zero. Guesstimate may need to calibrate but have no idea how.
