TRAUMA tells a story of a young woman who survives a car accident. Recovering at the hospital, she has dreams that shed light on different aspects of her identity. TRAUMA lets you experience those dreams in an interactive way, reminiscent of Point-and-Click Adventure Games. It expands this established formula by introducing a gesture-based interface, unique photographic visuals and a level design philosophy that focuses on creating a rich experience rather than an elaborate puzzle challenge. Combined with the unconventional story, it is aimed to be a compact and deep game for a literate and mature audience.

After about ten minutes of playing when the novelty wears off, this game is boring. I was hoping for a lovely adventure game to play for a while, instead I ended up with a slideshow.

I can't figure out what i'm even supposed to do. At some point, i got into this area with a green sphere, and found some polaroids, which i guess might be the goal?

Through out the game I figured the the quirks were the small hidden endings, but to my surprise the games quirks definitely are within the over all tone and symbology. Though the game was short it told a hidden story that shared an artistic overview of its camera based movements and glowing controls. What some may view as gimmicky and small, those were what make the game shine. Its undertone of society and cluelessness left me wondering more of this universe and continues to pique my interest over its alluring story line. As said before though the game is short it definitely expresses a great new adventure though the mind of the protagonist. I guess the true trauma I can find is how the protagonist is left with. Great game an experience and a fresh breeze of and over all new game.

This game has a creepy feel and cool sound effects but is completely devoid of any actual story or reason. It's completely vague- so don't ever expect it to make a shred of sense. For me, the goal just came to solve all the endings and find all the pictures. I finished everything and really wish they had tied some kind of story together. Maybe that's what made it intriguing though-- the lack of any conclusion.

Wow. First of all, this game is beautiful. Second of all, it is highly original. Reminiscent of Phantasmagoria, Myst, & Lucasarts adventure games, yet unique & transformed. Moody, dark, emotional urban mystery, dodging the usual tropes & conventions in favor of a narrative that is very personal, stylized, and impressionistic. With an App Store full of cheap thrills, hackneyed tropes and empty calories, this stands out like a Rembrant at a comic book shop.
