How to use the app:
• Select the language of the original text as text recognition language.
• Take a picture of the document (page, instruction, or any other text)
• Press the "Scan" button
• Recognized text will appear on the screen with an option to select the source language and the target (translation) language.
• After you select the language, the original text will be automatically translated and will appear at the bottom of the screen.
• To listen to the translation, press the "Voice" button

Because I have recently come across a whole bunch of texts I need to edit, and all I had were Screenshots. I would’ve had to go in there and edit my documents one word at a time. This allowed me to import the words from my screenshots within seconds. I eventually would have purchased something like this but today it was offered as a one time freebie. Thank you so much for having something that I could absolutely use, that is not inundated with full-page advertisements that pop up when you’re in the middle of a process, interfering with your work and sometimes causing the whole app to crash (like Videoshop‘s most recent updates). Thank you so much.

I bought this to translate Arabic documents. I wouldn’t even consider the results a translation. Just an absolute horrific translator. I want my money back and I’m gonna get it

For reasons well known to me, this app is hit or miss with translation of text between languages. The computation required to do human language translation varies by several orders of magnitude depending on context, vocabulary, tone, implicit meaning and wordplay, to give a few examples. I have yet to find any mobile device app that does better, but the capabilities of machine translators like this are finally, after 50+ years of being “almost ready” showing impressive gains in ordinary text translation. I think this app shines in ease of use. Heuristic back-end analysis of the data generated by this app should accelerate future accuracy and context interpretation of the translation engine.

The app is used for when you are trying to translate but the translation of course aren’t the best so it’s a hit or miss there. Though I would wish they would let you open the images files from different apps such as drop box that way I’m not force to either export to my photo or force to use icloud photos

I love working with this app. It's very easy, step by step. Nothing odd to have to figure out or "get on the same page" so to speak. Ive not had any translations I've done so far be wrong or not exist. Worth it definitely. ------ I wrote this, I think a year or so ago. It's a very fine app. It has changed a little here and there, all in good ways.

Pop up to rate the app doesn't stop with no. Annoying because I'm trying to figure out how to get my translation. Oh, well. On principle, Back to Google right after the delete. Please, program the rate me to stop appearing on the loop. I mean no. Any other of your apps are being deleted as well. Why use this when Google Translate offers so much more including the read back.
