Category Price Seller Device

It's a simple way of using your iPhone to keep track of individual tasks you created when using Evernote for various project management meetings, client meetings, student lectures, or other note taking purposes.

We know there are a million ‘to do’ list apps out there, with a lot more functionality. This one is made specifically to track check boxes created in Evernote. We track the actual check box, and make changes in the cloud immediately. This means you can continue to use Evernote in the same way you always have, without having to learn a new way to process tasks.

Note: You must have an Evernote account to use this app. You can create one easily online if you dont already have one. (www.evernote.com) Also, if you want to see how to use the app have a look at our web site. There is a link to a video demo. Please watch the demo or send us an email before posting a review.

Features:

• List all checked and unchecked tasks.
• Check/uncheck a task and automatically update Evernote.
• Use note tags to track specific note tasks.
• Add new tasks (actual check boxes in Evernote, not just tags)

I want to

I really wanted to like this app. I like the simplicity of it but it's so slow to sync. Too slow. I'll check back after updates.

Tag support fails

Nice to have

Once you get this going, it's handy in that it syncs across Evernote on your devices. I'd haven't found a setting that allows me to auto- delete checked off tasks, though. Just have to highlight and hit spacebar. Is simple and quick to add a task.

Great idea, needs some work

After reading some of the reviews here my expectations were not that high. But hey, for $0.99 why not give it a try? Being involved in software development for a while, I know things are usually a bit rough early on. So I offer my feedback here for both those people considering this app, and the developer(s) behind it which have a good idea here. I downloaded this app to my iPhone 4S (running iOS 6.0.1), input my Evernote userid and pwd, and sure enough it synced with my acct. I have been using Evernote to manage my todo list using checkboxes for sometime. And sure enough, TrackMyTasks found all of my open and completed tasks and made those available. Tried filling in the checkbox of an open task on my iPhone and that was synced back to Evernote. So it appears the basic functionality works which is good. The description in the AppStore lists a number of Apple devices TrackMyTask is compatible with, one of them being the iPad. Couple of observations about the iPad: -- The iPhone seems to be the real target platform with iPad as an apparent afterthought. By that I mean that various models of iPhone are explicitly listed. However, no specific models of iPad are listed. (More on this in a moment) -- Doing a search for TrackMyTasks in the AppStore FOR IPAD APPS does not yield any results. This leads me to suspect that as far as Apple is concerned this app should not be run on an iPad. Yes, this is conjecture, and there are a number of reasons it may not show up in the iPad section. -- I installed the app on my iPad 3 (yes, this can easily be done despite Apple not listing it as an iPad app). This is where the app simply didn't work. The login screen is a mess and there is no way to login to Evernote or start the app. I suspect this might be part of the reason behind the negative reviews. (I am of the mindset that if I post a review that is somewhat critical doing so is nearly worthless unless I provide information on why I am critical. Been in sw a long time and simply saying an application does not work is useless.) -- So, back to the description of this app. I RECOMMEND THE DEVELOPER IMMEDIATELY CONTACT APPLE AND REVISE THE DESCRIPTION TO REMOVE ALL MENTIONS OF THE IPAD. You may even want to consider saying something like 'iPad support is planned for a future release'. The ultimate goal being to curtail/stop exposing potential customers from using the app on a platform where it does not work and then posting negative reviews. IMHO, this app provides useful capability today and has some interesting potential. Couple of possibilities include: -- Adding the ability to categorize tasks. Most people work on multiple projects simultaneously. Being able to categorize tasks will enable them to more easily switch between projects and provide a quick status if necessary -- Adding the ability to set reminders for a task and have those sync with the iPhone reminders app would be useful too Hope this is useful. Looking forward to future updates.

Great App, wish there were notification capabilities

Nice and Simple, but wish there were notification capabilities.

Great simple app

This app is a great companion to Evernote. Displays any lists (billeted or check boxed) in one clear display. Love it
