Preparing for my first track day, I got the free version of this app. Setup is really simple, and the amount of data this retains is awesome. On the track it displays a live comparison to your best lap time, which is very helpful to get immediate feedback on whether the corner you just took shaved or added a tenth. That is, if you have time to look. Looking at the logged data afterwards, you can directly compare laps to see where you were faster or slower. I had an instructor drive my car for a few laps and later compared to see exactly where I am losing time. Videos overlaid with data are awesome for showing off later and for seeing exactly what you did on the track, which is surprisingly than what you may recall. After 3 sessions I bought for the pro version of the app, which is really a bargain compared to about any other track day expense. I already had a wifi OBD connector, which paired immediately and gives better speed data. GPS data isn't nearly as accurate as a standalone GPS with a higher sampling rate, but it's good enough. Without a high quality phone mount, your video will be very shaky, but still passable. I didn't have a separate camera to try with this app. I can't compare this to the other track apps out there, but give the free version a try. You won't be disappointed.

This app is great! I only have the free version but even just that gives a ton of features. Super easy to connect to your action camera and then really lets you relive your best moments on track.
