Just downloaded yesterday. Nice and simple layout, works as promised. A few things could be added. Can you disable screen lock out? My husband and I are OTR truck drivers driving coast to coast constantly. We were looking for a program that would track where we have been and to see the map as to where we are heading so we need this program to stay active on the screen. If you could add speed to the screen that would be nice too. I really like the ability to share with Facebook and it's an added bonus to see how many of my friends are viewing our travels. This is a simple, easy to use program that so far doesn't crash. My friends say it loads on the website quickly and zooms right in. The other program I was using "Track'r" was nothing but slow and constant crashes for months. Not worth the headache to have the extras on it. Keeping it simple is worth the reliability it offers.

Very Accurate and Very Pleased With This App!

White Acres

I came across NO bugs on this application, so far! It does accurate tracking for driving and even walking to the car. It even tracked me where I was walking in the house! They have done very well on this app! Very simple to use and it's great for people that don't have an iphone. All they need is a browser on any device. No software is needed for others to track you! Just click on the text/email link that you send to. My wife and I use it every time we leave somewhere. (for safety assurance and directions, if needed, for help!) It does need explanation of how much storage of tracks can be kept and what happens to the tracks/app if you never delete them? Where are they stored, etc?... Love to see these guys add more features and it does what it's suppose to do....LIVE Tracking at it's BEST! Great Job!

A Little Disappointing

KRACKIAVELLI

This app is disappointing. I wanted something with more stats (like if I was stopped at a red light, how long was I stopped? What was the average mph over the trip?) and options (like zooming in on area and being able to tell how long it took you to go from street x to street y). This app is the equivalent of drawing a line on a map.

Wilderness Hiking Tracker

I used this app to keep my family informed of my location when on a wilderness hike in New Hampshire's White Mountains. The app worked best for us in "smart" mode, where my position was pinpointed by GPS. I carried my iPhone in the top of my backpack inside of a ziploc bag. My wife could see on a web page my position pretty close to real-time. She viewed the map layer that let her see elevation contours, and combined with an AMC WMNF trail map, she had a very good idea of where I was at any given time. I found the battery was used up at about 10% - 15% an hour in that mode, so it was good for roughly 8 hours of tracking. I had a small external battery charger that could recharge the iPhone overnight when I camped. Of course, the app needs cell service including data to get the tracking data uploaded to the web site, and I was in and out of cell tower range as I hiked. But my wife told me that when I was out of range, the web page just didn't update for 15 or 20 minutes, but then the track would update a bit later with all data points intact once the trail happened to carry me back into cell tower range. The app was also useful to me as I hiked, as I could see my track and compare it to the AMC trail map to see my progress. That was helpful in locating a somewhat obscure trail junction that I missed on a foggy day. It would be excellent if there was a way to import a map that fills in the details Google Maps lacks...with only Google Maps data on the iPhone, wandering in the woods basically gives you your track and blue dot over a big green blob. A dedicated URL for tracking would be nice. What I mean is that everytime you start a new track, a new URL is generated for that track. So, you have to get that URL out to whoever it is you want to track you. If you're on the fringes of cell service and that e-mail with the tracking URL gets stuck in your outbox, they can't track you. A dedicated URL would be great, because then whoever's tracking you could just bookmark "your" URL without the risk of missing the page they're supposed to be following you on because the e-mail got stuck in your phone. Now if you're on the edge of cell signal, hey - I get it. Maybe it doesn't matter. But just sayin'. All in all - this is a great app for the price. We ended up using this instead of the Spot personal locator devices that are expensive and have terrible reviews.

Works as advertised

Dbeanland

Great app. Updates location quickly. Nice overlay with google maps. Only other addition it could use is to show user and viewers elevation and speed. Overall I recommend. Worth paying for if going on a trip so family can track you as it will run in the background.

Does the job

Gadafi Ali

The app itself does it's job but I hope it doesn't go through major updates and gets messed up like the rest of them.

Perfect for tracking while running!

Alicat489

I ran a marathon today and carried my phone in my belt with the app running. My family and friends were able to track me the whole time and accurately! By the end (over 4 hours) my battery was at 9% (started at full charge) since it was live tracking me so if you do use this, remember it does run out since it's using GPS. I highly recommend this app!

This is wonderful!!!!

Sassycsm

My husband had to go on a long trip and I was worried because he hadn't been feeling well. I loaded this app on both his and my iphones hoping for the best. Well, the app did what it said it would do! I was able to see where he was LIVE at all times. The satellite option is wonderful as well. I was able to see the names of businesses, etc., along with the names of streets/highways. If I could make one wish for one other thing to be added to this app it would be the option to be able to talk to him and still be able to see where he is. I don't know if that capability is do-able but if it is, that would be a great addition. I cannot recommend this app more highly! Keep up the good job, and thank you for helping with my peace of mind.

very annoying

abdullaherr

1) hangs after switching to another app in 90% cases. keeps no tracking in background. 2) looses large parts of track when data connection is not present. 3) does not show current speed (could show speed marks on map as well). otherwise would have been the best online realtime tracker ever.
