Exercises include all 44 Thai consonants and 32 basic vowels, tone marks and numbers.
An outline of each character is shown with arrows indicating the writing direction. You can trace over the outline to learn to write the character.
Your writing is saved on your iPhone or iPod touch so that you can close the program and return to it later where you left off.
Audio samples of each of the letters and numbers are included to help with learning the correct pronunciation.
The app includes a "Test Yourself" feature to test how well you can recall the equivalent sound of each consonant.
Good for the basics. I recommend it to students learning Thai. 99¢ 'is' cheap but it's a lot considering once you past the initial phases of learning, the app becomes useless. However, I got it when it was free, totally awesome. Like most things in life, always use multiple avenues to approach learning.
Despite a couple of attempts to inform Andrew Robinson of the non-erase flaw that renders Trace Thai useless, he refuses to be accountable to customers by fixing this great app.
After first time I used it on my iPhone..worked fine. Second time it froze and has not worked since. Junk!
Worked great after initial install but continually locked up afterwards. Needs a lot of bugs to be fixed before it is ready for prime time.
Bad App. Locks up all the time. Obviously programmer not interested in fixing bugs. Do not buy.
