Touch DJ Evolution is absolutely different from all DJ apps out there, and that's why it brings such fantastic results. The app is not trying to recreate any existing hardware DJ setup, like turntables or CD platters. All the mixing can be done 100% visually, without any pre-cueing with headphones. The colored track waveforms are floating in the realm of the futuristic neon-glowing interface, along with the calculated beatmaps. This app hasn't given up on me yet. I haven't given up on this app yet. This is the best music app I have so far. I would like the import music to be free. Other than that, good so far! (Allows you to bass boost music, change toons of music and more!)

Update: Lots of bugs that it would be nice to have fixed, but I'm not holding my breath since it hasn't been touched since last year. Removing a star because of lack of updates. 1. Playlists don't work. Doesn't change the order of the songs in your crates. Doesn't cue up the next song automatically. Playlist order gets lost and goes back to alphabetical. This is REALLY important so I can rearrange the order I want to play songs in. 2. Doesn't cue up proper song when song is over. Even when just alphabetical it cues up the wrong song immediately. And immediately starts playing it. If you haven't moved the fader over in time it just plays. It should cue up the next song in your order and PAUSE. 3. Almost all the effects have bugs of some sort not just the one mentioned below. Please look over each effect for proper function. And a feature request: sometimes a song changes BPM in the middle. I would like to designate a "break" and have the software reanalyze from there to the next "break" and be able to edit the grid within the breaks with the controls under the pitch area. in other words, I want to have multiple BPM settings within a song. Other than that the original review still stands. This app is amazing and makes visual mixing actually possible. As for all the negative reviews, they just need to practice more. It is doable. Especially if you choose your songs wisely. Just because some things are automated, doesn't mean you don't need skill to do it. Practice practice practice. This app is the only app I have found to do it visually though. Original review: I've wasted hundreds of dollars on DJ apps for my iPad. I had almost given up on getting a app that can mix completely visually and flawlessly until I tried this app! This app is stellar for mixing! It was super easy to pick up and learn only took five minutes to figure it out. After the initial learning, I'm now mixing with ease and getting exactly the mixes I'm looking for. I don't know why there are negative reviews, the BPM is perfect and the beat matching perfect. Sometimes it puts the bass drum on the upbeat of the other song, but just nudging until the auto synclines are off by half fixes that problem, super easy. Although I do wish it would get it right, right off the bat. My only serious complaint is the "phase" FX only affects the right channel, not both stereo channels. I love this app for mixing and I will tell all my friends about it!

Bought this app a year ago for $9.99 and it worked great and I enjoyed it very much .... I recently bought a new phone and my purchase should have been carried over but now there asking for additional $5 dollars and they removed the features I had on my last phone and Now I only have basic features when I used to have premium/pro ....... Very annoyed

Really!!!!!! I try n try n try but will not let me upload my tracks from iTunes library. Why is this? I left it to upload all night for one song and in the morn'n still uploading. That's 6 hours trying to upload 1 song. This is crap.

Could easily be a five star app, but It really REALLY needs an update. The playlist editor and library management is rubbish. The fx is wonky and sometimes unpredictable. The ability to beatmap from a certain point on, in addition to more flexible grid positioning would really really help as I have encountered tracks i just could not get to match correctly. Being able to access effects samples from main window seems logical, but sadly you cant. The quick hp/lp filter slider needs to be bigger. You can record mixes, great, but once you rename or convert, they are nowhere to be found. The record function may work on iPhone, but does work on iPad3 with current OS. Despite these issues, i use it. A LOT. Please please PLEASE update, though. This could really be a legitimate DJing app but sadly falls short. I feel a bit ripped off for purchasing all premium features.
