Torus Games

Eight familiar games introduce children ages 10 and up to the mind-stretching possibility of a “multiconnected universe”. Games include: tic-tac-toe, mazes, crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, chess, pool and gomoku. While playing the games, kids develop an intuitive visual understanding of a model universe that is finite yet has no boundary. Players who master the games in 2D may enjoy the extra challenge of solving 3D mazes and playing 3D tic-tac-toe in multiconnected 3D spaces. Even though the games were designed with kids in mind, adults interested in topology, geometry and cosmology have also found them enjoyable and enlightening.

Great topology app!

This is full of mind benders which will keep even the smartest of mathematicians busy for hours! I love how well made this is. The only problem I have is that, on human vs computer mode in chess, the computer (even in easy mode) is too good. It would be nice if you toned down the difficulty of it a little. Otherwise, great collection of topology demonstrations which is fun for the whole family!

Cool

It’s a nice, simple introduction to higher dimension math, but most importantly, it’s fun (even if you already get the concept)

Mind bending versions to old games

Just when you thought tictactoe was easy, the rotating board changes everything. Try the Klein Bottle version of pool and the ball's path is no longer predictable. Chess is so much more challenging. Give it a try.

Klein Bottle

Amazing collection of board games on a torus and klein bottle.

Uhhhhhh
Light Knighte

The game boards never end and of you get the game you will understand, it is super awkward to play any game and that is it, it would be a better game without the. Repeating game boards!

Thanks

I have used the Shape of Space program in my classroom and LOVE that the students can now access the games on iPads. Thanks for making such a great learning tool and making it available for free!
