Functional but frustrating

It’s OK. I can buy currency and transfer currency to my US account, but the UI is frustrating to say the least. If I switch to another App, or get a call, or receive a message etc, I have to log back in. I understand the need for security, but some flexibility would be great - my banking Apps allow me to switch without logging in every time; they just have a time-out if I’m not active in the App. Perhaps something similar here? Next.... the above wouldn’t be half as frustrating if it also didn’t reset to defaults EVERY single time! Even if I switch from one tab to another WITHIN the App! I DO NOT WANT TO BUY £15,000 worth of Euros! (=default). How about allowing the user to actually select their own defaults please?! A few settings for us to personalise the App experience shouldn’t be too much to ask for!? Did TorFX get the IT placement student (intern) to develop the App on the cheap? Because if they paid a developer; it’s very poor as Customer experiences go. Needs improvement.

Update: I have now been using App for several months and have reduced my rating from 2* to 1*. The App is frustrating. I contacted TorFX months ago when I first started using the App, gave them my feedback, and was told the App was being looked at, feedback listened to, and changes were being made. Months later, no change. I can and have made transfers using the App; it's just fiddly to say the least. The UI is clumsy and can't be personalized in any way. The home page defaults to GBP>€ (I really want to set my own default home currencies and amount here, not difficult coding, but it's the same on the main website too so it's just basic and lazy developers). There are no exchange rate history charts to look at trends, which means I have to use a different App. BUT... Every time I leave the App and return, I have to input my PIN and re-navigate from the home screen. I understand the need for security, but that is excessive and annoying. Again, personal customization would be nice here! Exchange rate alerts: I can set them, but they go to my email! How about an in-App "notification"?! That would be nice; so I actually get real-time alerts instead of finding it in my email with it long-since changed. (Yes, I know I could set up an email alert filter to notify me if I get an email with certain key words from a certain sender; but my expectation from an App is a support service to help me, not create more work!). Free? $$$ £££ €€€ Finally, it may be a 'free' App, and there may be 'no fees', but I have found TorFX exchange rates to be significantly worse than several of their competitors. I understand currency exchange companies make their money from flexing the exchange rate, but considering how much TorFX flex it, they really should invest in a better customer experience. Very poor overall. Needs considerable improvement. ---------- Lacks user-friendly basics. I cannot set my own currencies so it defaults to Sterling/Euro every screen change, never mind each log on. I would also like to see exchange rate history charts to help with decision making. So far I've had the App for a day and have not used it for any transactions. I was going to purchase USD but without the ability to see history and trends, it's useless for decision making. My funds have not yet appeared (deposited yesterday) so I cannot comment further.
