App has gone downhill

Good thing gone bad

When Kick first started, it was fun. The packs were cheap and inserts were bought with coins. All of the Topps apps have been ruined by greed and only the rich will have the best cards

EPL over now they screw us....

MaDuBt702

EPL and DFL have set coin prices yet when us Americans that follow MLS want to collect cards they jack up the coin prices and lower odds to get cards. Not right....make it consistent across the board. Also, certain weekly MLS packs are now “diamond” only. Not right....make it equal.....just a joke since this 2018 update. Turned a monthly VIP who spent a cpl hundred a month into someone who now casually logs on. Stop the greed! Oh and fix the glitches that have been around since Kick 15’ already.

Disappointing

I’ve been a user of this app for 2-3 years now. It used to be really good. Very straight forward and simple. However this year’s edition has ruined it for me. The new layout is weird and overdone but I get through. My problem is the diamonds currency. There are no special packs you can buy anymore with coins. They are all bought with diamonds and you need real mo way to buy diamonds. The only way you can buy a special pack is determined on a tier system. That is a very flawed and useless system however. The way you climb up a tier is if you collect 12 cards. Players only get 10,000 coins a day, so imagine how long it would take to collect all those cards. INCLUDING all the odds. You are forced to spend money on diamonds to even have a sort of decent experience buying packs. Even then you aren’t guaranteed a good card because of the odds. The XP system doesn’t even work. Some diamond packs allow you to buy them with coins if you have a certain amount of XP. I’ve collected about 6 award cards this year and still have not received a SINGLE XP point. That system is useless. I realize companies want to make money but I’m willing to bet that most of the people who own this app are not old enough to spend money consistently. Judging by the other reviews on this app, I am not the only one who is disappointed with the diamond system. Even then, that is an understatement. The only thing I’ve done this year is collect special cards from recurring packs that I can use my coins with, and stacking up on coins in case the diamonds system is removed and the app goes back to how it used to be. The only reason why this app gets 2 stars from me is because I had an issue and took it up with customer service and they were extremely helpful and quick.

What’s the point of coins is I can’t use them.

I have 10,000 coins, but they are completely useless, since there are diamonds, which you have to buy. Literally everything costs diamonds, and that makes it impossible to get good players. I’ve tried to get a pack, but I can’t since I have no diamonds, and I’m not wasting money on a free game that is just not fun.

Deleted my Account

My username is cflenke4427 & I typically have to sign in using Facebook when Topps servers are acting up, this always happens and I'm used to it. However, this last time when I logged in with Facebook, it signed me in as a GUEST. I've been a daily player over 2 years... FIX THIS!!!!!

User Unfriendly App

When this app first started it was five star worthy. KICK felt the need to make improvements every year. Unfortunately, these so called improvements have gradually lowered it to a one star app. It has become difficult to use and visually unappealing.

Contests not working

joshzak58

I just experienced a contest where I got 3 cards for this contest where I didn’t buy any diamonds. It was also at a 1:25 chance to get a card and once the contest started it didn’t work. I placed 31 and it says I didn’t win a prize. Guess what topps you owe me all those coins back for trying to win the contest.

Used to be good

js689

I used to love this game until the new season came out and now you have to put actual money into the game to get just decent cards and open packs and you aren’t guaranteed anything good out the packs you spend $5 on

Overall, Amazing idea. Bad execution

Gamer of the Namer

The idea of this game is amazing. There are a few major flaws. Currently, to get special packs that contain better players and cards, you must spend gems. These gems are mainly obtained by money, and therefore it is hard to get these packs. Without these special cards, users have a major disadvantage vs people who do spend their money. Before, these packs were obtainable with coins, which you can easily obtain. The good thing is that it lets you collect, trade, and use cards. You can select players that you think will do good on their fixture and get points for their performance. If the game was truly based around this, it would be different. But it is not. This is why I rate a game I used to really like 3 stars. It used to be 5 stars, but these weird changes are bad.

Poor game design

Aireshep

Conceptually, I like a lot about this app. It looks good, I get to collect and trade and even play my cards during real games. The Golden Goal game and spin the wheel are fun too. If you love the English Premier League, then you’ll love that this app is all about the EPL. Most non-competition rewards are geared towards EPL, which stinks if you prefer MLS or Bundesliga. The app itself is poorly designed. It looks fine, but the coding must be quite inefficient or the images are too huge, as my battery drains very fast when on this app. Images of cards rarely load and trading has become difficult because I can’t see if my potential trading partner has duplicates or not. The poor coding holds this app back, as does the EPL-centric focus.
