At first go this app seemed a little weak, but after just a few minutes I was stoked. That was a couple of months ago. This app was my first experience with an app of this type. Actually I played with a sketch app for a minute but was quickly bored by it. With this one I found I could get a graphic novel look to most photos with just a little bit of tweaking. As a big graphic novel fan I cannot tell you how excited I was... Long story short..? Today, I have an iPad dedicated to the making of comic books and graphic novels, (in fact it's my first iPad, and I bought it for this very purpose). Together with my iPhone and MacBook pro, I am turning out very professional results. I have even booked jobs, including making the official comic book for a short film, in it's final stages of post production. I now use several apps to get the effects I am looking for, and several more to layout the comic books out. What app I use depends on both, the photo, and the style I am trying to achieve. However, so far, of all the apps I use, this is the only app I use for every photo I tweak. No matter which app/s I use to get my desired results I always finish it off in toonpaint, before importing it into one of the layout apps. So far... This app literally changed my life. I have always wanted to make comic books, but have never acquired the skills necessary for the job. This app turned that dream into an instant reality, for me. Sure, I do use other apps, and in fact rarely use toonpaint on its own anymore, but it is a critical part or all my comic works, thus far. Thanks Annie The only reason I don't give this app five stars, is because now that I have used it so much, I know all it's little bugs, (it crashes way too often, and you can't do double page spreads). Having said that, I haven't tried "toonpaint 3", yet, but from what I read, they haven't quite got all the bugs out yet, and for 30 bucks, I think I'll wait for done better reviews. Also, like many people, I find it a bit deceiving that you have to pay for the app, then pay for features that should, so clearly, come with the app. Knowing what I know now, I would gladly pay more for this app than I did, but let's be clear about that cost from the start, (and there better not be any surprise purchases in "3" either... Not for thirty bucks.).

Ironically, I got asked to post a review right as I was trying to resolve a spinning clock of doom. But it's fun otherwise.
Screwed again X
Don't even think about it, save your money and move on. It does't worth it.
