The original southpaw was a simple elegant decibel meter, now we have a product cluttered with useless added products and Pop up ads.
Paying to remove ads just gets you more ads

I don't understand why I'm having adds for a paid app. When I purchased this app there wasn't any advertising and apparently an update changed that. I wouldn't mind if the advertising was removed soon.

This app is not bad for the most part. Performed to expectations with the exception to the ruler. Ruler: I wasn't able to figure out how to measure something accurately greater than 3.43" (8.70cm) with the ruler feature. I even placed my finger on the screen keeping it stationary and sliding my phone to continue measuring, which advances the ruler. However, it snaps to the next visible section instead of a continuous flow. The snap to feature only snaps the slider to the increment specified by user and doesn't turn off the ruler "snap" to next visible section. Taking a measurement by marking and then sliding the phone in addition to sliding the ruler feature isn't so great and less accurate in my opinion. A simple tutorial would be nice too.
