Disappointing

It's GORGEOUS. Too bad it has crashed somewhere in the middle of every single game I've played (15 or so).
Its a beautiful app, but it crashes every time

Game worked great for the first few days. The latest update has the game crashing every single time I attempt to play it. I would love to rate this 5 stars, but I can't since it crashes during every game.
Good news and bad news...

Good news: I was able to load and execute ver. 1.03 on my iPad 4 just like the support team promised. The Bad news is 2 crashes for 2 tries at playing the game. The first crash was mid-game, so I turned the iPad off and on to reset it. The second crash was near the end of the second game. One star added for fixing the update for my iPad. More stars will be added when I can play an entire game without crashing.

Really Disappointed

This is one of my favorite board games and I was really excited that they had finally released an app. However, that excitement quickly dwindled upon actually playing the game. Looking at it as a new player, there is no where in the app that has a rulebook so new players have any idea what they're doing. Additionally, I played it through the first time using the tutorial, just in case there were any nuances because it was an electronic version of it. The game crashed a number of times during my game play which was incredibly frustrating. On top of that, despite the fact that I am logged in through Game Center and have an account created on the app's website, there is no link to achievements. I should have attained a number of them by now, yet there is no sync or link up to make sure this happens. I gave this app two stars -- one for a game that I enjoy being finally available in electronic format, and the other because I have successfully played the game a handful of times without it crashing.

Tokaido is my favorite board game so you can imagine my excitement that the long awaited app actually happened! It has a great feel to it and was exactly what I wanted to see in terms of style (if you would like a more "realistic" Tokaido experience check out Board Games Arena online). So far the only bug I've noticed is that Satsuki the Orphan is able to eat the same meal twice, which she can't as specifically stated by the game's designer (it sucked cause she actually beat me doing that). Now if only we could get the Crossroads and Matsuri expansions so the game has much more replay-ability (in its current form I fear the game will get repititive, but the expansions add 22(!!!) more characters as well as more choices to make in game). I would gladly pay for the expansions honestly. Oh and a console port would be fantastic ;)

Bought and played this game last week. Now it won't update, stating that it doesn't work on my iPad 4. Well it did a week ago... Fix or refund my purchase! Update: Thank you for fixing the iPad 4 issue. The game works great and I'm enjoying it. I'm really impressed that you had responded to my complaint and fixed the game. Please keep up the great work.

My only complaint is that there is no way to mute. There are option buttons for turning off the music & sound, but neither work. Still opens with loud fanfare and sounds throughout game. Otherwise fun and faithful to the board game.
A Great Portable Experience Of A Wonderful Game

The recent updates have made this good app into a great one. Definitely recommend. I had had problems running this on my iPad 4. However, recent updates have not only improved that. They have also made the game better over all. This app is a great portable version of a wonderful board game.

Developers have done a great job! They've fixed all the bugs from the older release ***Older review*** Get rid of the annoying start music! Every time I open the app, I have to mute the sounds and still the starting music blares annoyingly whenever I open it again. I'll change my rating when you get rid of it. The game itself is beautiful!! I love the gameplay, and the artwork!
