Learning about time, money, and fractions can be challenging for many children. School Zone's On-Track Time, Money & Fractions iPad app is the perfect tool to help children build those skills! The program’s kid-friendly approach delivers solid practice that will build confidence and help children succeed in school. Exercises are presented with detailed instructions and clear examples. The section concentrating on time lets children manipulate the hands of a clock to learn about hours and minutes, while other exercises teach children to set clocks to specific times. The section dedicated to money lets children maneuver coins into a bank, which teaches coin values and how to count coins. In the exercises focused on fractions, children learn fraction values and how to divide and color pie pieces to show fractions. Performance is encouraged by audio guidance, instant grading, progress-tracking, and ample positive reinforcement. In addition, each skill section has a no-stress learning area where children can explore each concept without being graded. Colorful graphics, silly sound effects, and funny animations enhance the learning experience. Plus, engaging games offer an important break between exercises. When additional practice is needed, a click of the reset button will randomize the problems for extended learning opportunities.

Not working

This app is not working. Very frustrating as my older daughter used it and now my younger daughter cannot benefit from it. You should take this app down or update it.

Great App

This is a great app. Please make more.

Worth the price

This is the same program that sells for $25 on a disc. This is great for children starting to learn these concepts...very interactive and engaging. And...the intermission games are fun too! I generally don't buy apps in this price range, but I'm glad I bought this one!!

good content - poor graphics - pricey

The content, as promised in the description, is helpful, varied, and engaging. The audio instructions are clear and there are plenty of activities for money, fractions, and time. My only complaint is that the graphics are really subpar. This is an iPad only app and yet it's obvious that it was ported from another platform without much thought to matching the iPad's native resolution. Normally, I wouldn't care. I have native iPhone apps that work just fine on the iPad at 2x resolution. In this case, we're trying to teach a child to recognize coins and count coins. The coins are all blurry and heavily pixelated. For youngsters, the details make all the difference. For example, a dime could be recognized from its size, but you should also be able to read the words "ONE DIME" on the back of the dime. On this app, the words are so blurry that it's not possible. The coins are all large enough that it should be easy to read the words on them. For a $1 app, a lot of those things are forgivable. For a $10 app I expect for an iPad app to match the iPad's resolution. I hope that this issue is addressed and that a fix is provided. I would like nothing more than to give this app a 5 star rating.

Time value

I bought this app the day the iPad came out. Of course it was ported. But I paid $24 at Apple store for this software. I have no problem with the fact that they took the CD-ROM software at brought it to the iPad for $9. The pure depth of this program crushes anything else in it's category. As for graphic quality, Its as good as on the computer. I can not read "dime" on a real dime. What's up?

Cool app

My students love this app. They have a fun time using it during centers. I would like to see more questions and have 3 levels. Keep on making fun, educational games!

Not worth the price

The content of this app is not bad but 1) it is not easy to use and/or navigate inside the app 2) the graphics are disappointing Once your child figures out how to navigate, it does have a good educational value. Spend your money on something else.

Good app!
Busymom!!

My child loves this app. I think it needs more practice on how much each coin is worth. My child does not know how to count on, count by 10's, 5's and so on yet. It needs real simple money counting for beginners. Maybe a little more for the price.

I want my money back!!!

The worst kids learning game ever! I expected that since I paid $9.99 for and it was put out by School Zone it would be a great learning tool for my daughter who just turned 7 and is learning money in school right now. The next 2 chapters are telling time and fractions. I figured it would be a win, win. Boy was I wrong, wrong. -No sound -No way to really pick and work on one thing at a time. -No levels to move onto for advanced learning -It counts the money for you as you put it in the bank. I don't know about everyones children but mine don't learn if it's done for them.

Not worth the money

I have bought much much better apps for a lot less!! I was expecting so much more from this developer. Two things that could be fixed to make it much better 1. Ability to remember the players. 2. Be able to put students names in so they could return to there game every time. I like the concept but it could be so much better,
