This is a great app, writing scripts for BB-8 is really fun! I can't wait for my son to be old enough to use it.

I downloaded this app to help me learn to program a Sphero BB-8. It's great! Similar to the Sphero Lightning Labs app, it uses block-based programming in a GUI, but it offers a few more custom actions for BB-8 and is generally more sophisticated. It supports other robotic devices as well (drones, etc.). I'm an experienced programmer, so I appreciate the greater control and flexibility this app offers. It is also simple enough for a novice to get up and running quickly. Supports a lot of toys and drones. It can also be used to create iPhone apps or integrate iPhone apps with real life devices, though I haven't tried this functionality. Very powerful app.

We use the app in a workshop for kids and it is amazing. Very easy to get going with. There is so much potential in multiple actors/robots and sending messages. We make sphero and bb8 scout the room out together and send messages to each other when they bump into things. One thing we couldn't do is have two spheros is one program. Maybe down the road. Keep it up!

Could you make pen blocks like in some programming apps so our characters can draw shapes♥️ that would make the app even better, please! I love this app.

This app makes programming so accessible to adults and kids. drag 2 controls onto the first orca app and you can make the whale chase your finger all over the phone. add a sphero and you can control it from the pitch, roll, and yaw if your phone. Options are endless and surprisingly powerful. Some bugs in the drag&drop of code blocks that touch the top bar, some need to reformat the screen when code blocks stretch to the right, and I wish for ability to just write text at locations on the screen (instead of objects with "think" blocks).

New update made my sphero go out of. Control forward when trying to line up the eye. Only happened once the app updates. You will also be required an account to use the app starting 4/28.

I don't see any benefit as a customer to require this so I'm just deleting the app now.

Had great fun with the app until support for the parrot Maclane was stopped.
