The rules are simple: it's like your old friend Tic Tac Toe, but with the following changes:

* You must get 4 in a row.
* The board can be any size from 4x4 to 9x9.
* There can be any number from 2-9 players.

But that makes all the difference!

To get a feel for the game, try it on a 5x5 board against 2 robot opponents. Once you get the hang of it, try different sized boards or number of opponents.

TicaTaca uses Bonjour to allow multiple nearby iOS devices to participate over the network.

I really enjoy the multiplayer aspect, and the fact that you can choose the level of difficulty. Makes for a fun twist!

I love that this is so simple -- everyone already knows the rules! -- but the few twists (bigger board, 4 in a row, multiple players) makes it a true strategy game for grown-ups. Also nice that it's a fast, easy pick-up game. You can play around in just a minute or two, which makes it perfect while waiting for the bus, waiting at a restaurant or just hanging around. If the person next to you has an iOS device, you can invite them to play, too! Loads of fun, with decent replay value -- gotta love it!
