Why mess up good software

It’s hard to understand how some recent changes were conceived and approved as they have made charting clumsy and downright annoying. TDAmeritrade constantly screws up their website and now thinkorswim. It’s too bad they don’t take some of the money that they spend on marketing do a better job of improving trading platforms.

I have been waiting patiently, and communicating with the TOS ppl about upgrades to an already powerful mobile platform. Recently they gave us traders a wonderful Christmas gift! Trend lines, drawing tools linked to the desktop, and vice versa. Got an idea waiting in line at the bank, notice a trend in a store? No prob, take out your mobile device set an alert or add to a watchlist. Draw trend lines fibs, whatever floats your boat cause it’s all here in mobile trader now!! I am thrilled with this update! One thing, TOS. Please remove the alerts on the chart. I’m having a little bit of a time seeing candles where the alerts are. Keep positions tho. That’s really helpful. Y’all rock!!!

[Update rev 182] 1/2/2018 Okay seems like if I move the average volume line from up to down then the chart displays bars or candles otherwise the price just stays as a line. 1/1/2018 Completely broke the charting. The charts don't display candles or bars! [Earlier revs] It's for the mobile platforms that I am thinking of switching from td ameritrade to some other service. My main gripes - 1. No help/definitions for the terms presented on the screen. 2. Unable to select which fields to see on the detail screen. 3. The "remember me" feature never works. [appears to be fixed] 4. There is no default chart setting.[fixed] 5. It takes forever for the charts to update. That's not all. It's even worse that during that time the previous chart is displayed for the new symbol. Difficult to make quick trading decisions. [big problem - cannot trust the chart if you haven't seen it before] 6. Unable to save and reuse orders.
