Just amazing how much is crammed in to this app. Basic functions are easy to use but I’ve just scratched the surface of what this can do.

Best app for being in the woods

I use this app for hiking, scouting and hunting. It keeps me from getting lost ... a lot :) It would be nice if one could geotag pictures to saved waypoints. Maybe one can and I just don’t know it’s available. A cool option would be access to older satellite pictures to see in the Fall/ winter , which trees are hardwoods and which are pines. That would aid hunters, hikers , wildlife photographers, bird watchers.

In an area of boreal forest flat muskeggy and zero landmarks theodolite was essential to make sure our footprint remained within our permit area. I checked it with our surveyor, within 1.5 meters laterally and 30 meters vertically. Pretty amazing for an iPhone app. I heartily recommend it!!!!

I use this all the time for my wetland delineation field work. Professional quality data, screenshot feature is invaluable and the mapping portion is fantastic.

I’m an archaeologist and while this doesn’t replace sub-meter accuracy GPS, it is a great general field tool for documenting initial finds.
