The Chive used to be great. Not PC, but kind to people in need...they now have comment moderation. Liberal leaning. They have been corrupted from the inside. Social justice over quality of media. Essentially they just steal everything from Reddit anyway. I used to pay for a membership because I knew my money was going to charities, but I’ve since pulled my membership and deleted the app. The deep state will always find their way into popular apps and ruin them with propaganda.

This app will freeze, freeze and quit, or just not work. I thought before it might be due to an aging phone. Sadly even after upgrading my phone it still has the same issues despite pushing out “bug fixes” constantly.
oldcodechecksout
Used to read everyday. Got a new phone. Can’t log in. Tried to reset password. I get the email but the link keeps saying the reset token is invalid.
CruzmyTunes
This was the best app ever until they added those stupid game ads that are hard to get rid of.

Now, in order to receive a pro rata refund, I’m down to disputing the $79 credit card charge I made to Chive on April 27. Broken Promise #1: No ads with a paid subscription — TOTAL B.S. Their feature “People reveal what they consider the ‘best’ sex skills” has six (6!) ads: 1) climax-delay spray, 2) performance/rigidity pills, 3) female arousal gel, 4) before & after wipes, 5) lube, and 6) more lube. Broken Promise #2: A free Bill F’in Murray coin with my paid three-year subscription. Their customer service was plenty communicative when accepting my $79, but they haven’t replied to my emails about my missing BFM coin. Censorship: My downvotes of their links for adult playground links in their comments sections are erased. Meanwhile those links, which resemble email spam, remain intact. That’s particularly shameless considering how randomly and frequently this unwelcome content interrupts legitimate commentary. Questionable: They way they handle charitable donations. Considering their broken promises, heavy-handed censorship, and disguising of apparently sponsored links as member comments, I wonder whether they’re pocketing portions of contributions meant for the needy. Doubtful: If they can’t/won’t mail a freaking BFM coin (along with the random thank you card, btw), then why should I trust them to ship their pricey merchandise? Question: Did they discount their $99 three-year subscription to $79 because they’re in a cash crunch? That might explain the persistent, worsening deluge of unwanted ads. Signed, Beyond Disappointed
