Update does address some of the numerous problems with The Blaze app since the terrible update at the beginning of April. Hitting the restore icon still closes the video window and when you bring it back up it starts over from the beginning. It is hard to use the slider to move forward or back in time - it needs a bigger thumb handle. But at least they added skip forward/back buttons (forward is a little quirky). There are still problems in rotation from portrait to landscape and back in news. These are just a couple examples. But at least it is moving in the right direction. Blaze Developers please continue to work to make the app more usable. In most ways it is still not as good as it was before the beginning of April with the big cut over.

Unwatchable choppy livestreaming

Update: With the latest update two days ago the livestreaming appears to be much smoother with just an occasional hiccup. However, the ability to shrink the screen to a small movable box so I can do other things on my iPad while still watching The Blaze has disappeared. That was my favorite thing about the previous version before things got revamped. Please bring that feature back and keep the smooth livestreaming. Thank you! What happened to the smooth tv livestreaming? Now when I attempt to watch live tv it stops every few seconds to buffer which makes it virtually impossible to watch and a lot of content is lost because of it. Also, at times the video part freezes while the audio continues or both audio and video freezes. These issues are happening on all of my iPads running the latest iOS 10.3.1. It is especially bad on Glenn's live radio broadcast on tv. I am not having any issues playing livestream outside of The Blaze app. This app was working fine until recently. If this doesn't get fixed soon, I am going to cancel my subscription as this app has become unwatchable.

The latest update is fantastic! I love that I can check my email and still listen to the show. It is very useful friendly and video quality top notch.

Frustrating- update ruined app

I finally had to delete the app. The radio would play over the live tv. There was no way to ensure tv or radio was off without shutting down the app completely. Even after doing that I'd get in the car and sync would engage and all of a sudden the radio would be playing whatever format of The Blaze I'd had on HOURS before (and thought was off because I'd turned it off AND shut down the app) and the battery on my phone was drained. Serious fixes needed!! ****UPDATE*** Downloaded again to try after "bug fixes" and nothing changed. Live tv started playing audio through car Sync system when app WASN'T OPEN and had not been used!- PLEASE FIX THIS!

**Updated 5.12.17 -Having issues with the Picture-in-Picture on iPad Air 2. It will reduce into the corner with the gray screen behind, but will stop playing if you try to open any other window or app.** 4.4.17 - It's better today. Any chance you could add the fast forward/rewind options back into the live broadcast on the iPad app? Also, I would like to be able to save video episodes of the radio show, whether as a link or as a download, like you can with a podcast. I mean, who wouldn't want to save Glenn and his chalkboard images or Jeffy with a 40lb glob of doughnut icing on his lip? Some things just have to be seen!

Needs features, playback stalls

Poor app: missing pause, rewind, fast forward. Playback is consistently choppy - start and stops. I much prefer the podcast. I subscribe to the Blaze. The app ought to let me pause when I walk away from the broadcast and then return the pick up where I left off. This is a 1970s implementation of modern technology. The Blaze can do much better for the customer.

All it does is buffer and freeze, constantly. I have to shut off my iPad in order to get it started again. Very annoying!! I went out and bought a new iPad and same problem on this one. Worst viewing ever. This morning when I put the show on, no sound and it's been buffering constantly. Please fix it. I've been a subscriber for several years and this is the worst ever.

Completely useless App!

THIS APP IS, WITHOUT A DOUBT, THE BIGGEST POS on the App Store! You'd think Beck could get a team of programmers who knew what they were doing! This app looks and feels like it was programmed by a high school student. Advertising up the wazoo, images and videos don't load at times and now it's showing content from 8/30/16. UPDATE (4/1/2017)- Just when you thought this app couldn't get any worse, it does. The latest update is total CRAP! UPDATE (5/21/2017)- STILL CRAP, NO RELEVANT CHANGES, PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENTS, LAYOUT IMPROVEMENTS, STREAMING IMPROVEMENTS etc.

No Apple TV version!?

This app is decent for what it provides .... but it's been over a year since the 4th Gen Apple TV came out and still no native app for it... you have to stream over air play which can have issues.

Ugh...just when I thought it was getting better, now you take away the fast forward and rewind button. I'm glad you put the iPhone clock back, though. I didn't realize it was a choice between the two... Original:This redesign is horrible: From having to figure out through trial and error that I needed to reset my password (ok--that was easy once I determined the "server" wasn't down as the message pop up kept telling me); to Roku not working; to the lousy interface and difficulty finding anything I'm searching for; to the radio program only being available to watch in bits and pieces; to now watching--wait, I mean LISTENING--to past radio programs on SoundCloud (after searching, I did find the FULL AUDIO of previous shows--not bits and pieces of it--on SoundCloud, but it is only available to listen to, not watch as it previously was on TheBlaze). It's such a shame that someone thought this new app was an improvement. I'm thinking I may have just freed up a lot of my time and saved some money in the process by not bothering with this program anymore. Fingers crossed that this is someone's bad version of an April fools joke. Sadly, I had to give it one star (it won't allow zero stars). ***UPDATE*** LOVE ALL THE FIXES! My only issue now is that on both the app and roku the live program does not have a rewind (it used to allow an hour rewind into the live programming). I can't listen to the program at its start time and I don't like coming into it in the middle of a topic. Therefore, I'm always at least a day behind on the program. :( I miss that hour rewind feature during the live program. Thank you for all the other fixes, though. At least I can watch the programs, albeit a day or more late. FINGERS CROSSED that you will fix the hour rewind on the live programs.
