VOID has 4 races all with very different technology. The game has dozens of pilotable ships that you can fly, from shuttles and fighters to the gargantuan Cruisers and Dreadnoughts. They all occupy a region of space that you will conquer as you grow in destructive power.

A suprisingly addictive game that keeps pulling me back in for more. Graphics are great on retina screen and gameplay is very smooth. You have got to get this game. Everything seems well thought out, from the physics (including planet gravity - nice touch) and the upgrade system. I also like the unique way that upgraded parts must be salvaged from wreckage of enemies; gives extra replayability to many levels. I haven't reached this point yet, but my only concern is when I defeat all levels - what next...

@tcpshadow after I beat all of the levels, I went back through the homeworlds to get all of the super-weapons that sometimes appear. These are needed to get the openfeint achievements. While doing so, I got a TON of money, and was able to buy all of the ships! Now I am going back through the game starting with the lowest-class ship, and seeing how far I can get without having to pilot a better ship. Also I'm finding out the best weapon-ship-equipment combination for all of the different alien races! This game has great replay value, and is by far my favorite game on the iPod, free or paid!

It is challenging without being so hard you can't beat it. You will love it. Its graphics are amazing and the designs are awesome. I <3 The Void!!!!!
