Seriously?!?

IT ENDED OUT OF NO WHERE! A week from Halloween and it just ends! Why?!? Please continue the story or make a sequel. I was EXTREMELY invested and I love the level, money, and reading systems. If the story is continued I’d give a 5 star rating. Edit: Played the game over a few more times and realized that to actually have an ending you have to do a dating sim-like version of the game, although I like the endings so far it’s underwhelming. You should make another book with the systems mentioned.

Make it longer!

Saisairee

I loved this! I would've gave it a five star if was longer. It ended kind of abruptly and i wish there was more to the story. Loved the romance parts.

Ok?

It was a pretty good story for the most part. The killer fashion was kinda creepy to read at night which I do. The only bad things was the ending. The whole story didn't matter in the end

Good but huge let down

Just as I started to get hooked into the story the game just ended out of no where... you don't get to pick a person to go to the party and it ends like a week before Halloween!? You don't find out what happens to the killer and it seems pointless to do anything at the lodge cause you don't even do any sort of hunting with them. You just go there and train. Also it shows there's 6 different events with a few different characters and I only managed to do 1 on 3 different ones...? I have no idea if I messed up or if that's just the end??

Loved it

(To any lost players reading this: you need the fashionable clothes for Damien, and your Strength up for Roxanne) The game is well paced, and really interesting! I'm totally in love with Damien, and killing the aberration with him was sooo satisfying... Anyway, as with everything else, the game does have its share of downsides. First of all, everyone is all "omg Halloween Halloween" which makes you think the game will last a month... Except it ends very abruptly on October 22. That means getting an ending on your first try is pretty much impossible, since there are no hints as to what stats focus on for each character at the beginning of the game and you can't plan ahead if you don't know the game ends a week earlier than expected. The ending if you didn't get to 6 events with anyone is ridiculously abrupt, to the point I thought it was a bug at first. Even killing the character off would have been better than that, because at least then the player would know the game was supposed to end. And, I mean, there is a killer around who would love to see you dead, so it wouldn't have been hard to make it feel like a legit ending. Speaking of love interests, Damien (and, I imagine, Roxanne) is impossible to get because the game doesn't give you any hints as to how to get their endings. As I mentioned before, it's pretty much impossible to get an ending on your first play, and guess when a player will try to get the fashionable clothes? After the first time, I noticed they had no effect whatsoever, and started building my strength up because, hey, who knew if something would change? To me, getting stronger made more sense when trying to court an exterminator than being fashionable, especially when he never showed any interest in clothes even though you have dates on the city like everyday. Speaking of strength, I feel like something different should have happened on the night the aberration gets to our home if we've been building strength up. I mean, come on, we couldn't even outrun it? Take longer to faint when being choked? All in all, I think my biggest pet peeve when starting the game was that our character begins it with way too much personality - and not a relatable one, either. Although I stuck around, I imagine other people may drop the game as soon as they realize their character actually went to a protest against the very beings we want to romance. I know I almost did, only sticking around for Elizabeth's delicious revenge... And later completely falling in love with the game. Anyway, the game does have its downsides, but I completely loved it, and I'm sure if people stick around past the initial annoyances they'll also love it as I did!

More

This is a really good story, I agree with others though it is short. I really hope they update they game and add more story, I would pay for more.

Interesting Twists on the Normal.

I'm a fan of all "Creature" based stories, but this one has truly peeked my interest. Before I start, I should point out that I don't say creature as a bad thing. It is my way of describing any person or animal of the magical and not the natural. But back to the topic at hand. This tale has a different perspective than most, since it places creatures as victims and not monsters. A tale of either love, friendship, or more between a human and a creature is really astonishing. I find this a truly spectacular tale, one that deserves multiple different reads and tellings. Have fun, I have more tales to enjoy!!??

I love it and am hoping for part 2

There I like about this story and so much that could become better. until I know there is going to be another installment I'm going to just save my breath but I would really love for there to be some sort of sequel or and expansion I want to further my relationship with other characters in the game and experience more

Abrupt Ending

clover bead

I was really enjoying this game until it just suddenly ended without any sort of closure. So many questions left with zero answers and no way to save the game, so I'm assuming there will not be a sequel. I'm actually questioning if I want to play more games by this company because if they end the same way I will not be impressed.

Almost Perfect

This story does an excellent job creating characters and atmosphere. It creates a very interesting world, that to be honest, I would like to see more of. The only issue I have with it is that there seems to be a lot of underutilized mechanics, and the replay value, while good, is bogged down by the in-depth narrative. You can learn all these "special skills" and buy new outfits, and it takes a while and some planning to earn them, but they do not amount to much. The replay value all comes in experiencing the story with each of the separate characters, which just basically turns it into a dating sim. You have to bogg through a lot of the early narrative, which is fine, but just is a waste. All in all you have a fantastic story, fascinating characters, with a nice focus on non stat based mechanics. It's weak point is some of those mechanics are underwhelming, and the replay value is left behind by the narrative. Four out of five, glad I paid for it.
