Amusing in its mysteries

Prinkles

Mysterious game with multiple levels of challenge to both entertain and take deeper into the puzzles getting harder by steps. After the row of hidden secrets, which are not being uncovered easily by the way, new mysteries need a break. It’s continuously intriguing.

Decent detective.

Game was quite interesting and ...pretty easy. I like puzzles and general tone of the game. I wish the game to be a bit longer.

Decent game

I enjoyed my time with this game. First of all I will start with what I liked. The different landscapes and rooms were nice. The puzzles were varied and the story was okay. The graphics were good and objects were easy to see. Most of the puzzles made sense and followed logic. What I didn’t like about the game was the length. It was short. I finished it in a few hours. I am really wanting a game like Haunted Hollow 1 and 2 from this developer. Those are amongst some of my favorites. There is one puzzle or action that I found made zero sense. The only reason I figured it out was by chance. It was a huge stretch. My last complaint was it was relatively on the easy side. I wanted a little more of a challenge. All in all I liked the game a lot. I subtracted a star due to the negatives I noted above.

Way too easy

I highly suspect the five star reviews are actually promotional ads from the developer....no one writes like that when leaving a real review. I found the game to be super simple and very short, more like a kids game. The puzzles were unoriginal and not the least but challenging. I would be mad if I had paid $5 for this, but since I played the free version, I can’t really complain that it only lasted an hour.

Sycamore Hill Is Worth Exploring!

I love these types of escape-like adventures in which I can lose myself within nature's glory, roaming freely through varying landscapes left wild and unspoiled by human intervention. The crisp and clear graphics create a realistic portrayal of the environment, thus drawing me further into the peaceful ambiance. The environmental exploration creates a perception of isolation and mystery, starting with the first glimpse of the impressive mansion, from down the long dirt path, partially covered by overgrown, unkept grass. Each place I explore is distinct, offering new clues about what happened to my Aunt — whether it's within the mansion's long, empty hallways; in the many dust-filled rooms containing run-down furnishings; or throughout the eerie, desolate grounds of the surrounding vicinities. Each location reveals a new part of the overall conundrum, hiding its own secrets, awaiting my discovery. The backstory telling is minimal, holding me in suspense and intrigue, as the only informative hints are fragments of remembrance in the form of scrolls. I often refer to my diary, which records collected clues used to solve enigmatic puzzles. Although the entertainment’s value is commendable, the overall level of challenge is not high, as the puzzles are easily solvable. There was no need for me to use any hints or skips. Furthermore, there's only one task to effectuate and/or one item to collect within each scene. This is probably why the game seemed on the short side. The last puzzle, the clock puzzle, was a little "off," in that I had the long hand correctly on the number 12 on the first clock; however, I had to move it a minute past the number 12 to get a response. Other than that, I did not experience any glitches. Finally, I appreciate the option of playing the whole game at no cost, considering that some players, like myself, prefer to control their own destiny without guidance. The ads are infrequent enough that they do not disrupt concentration and hinder progression. Therefore, I have to admit that this game was well worth my time.

I pre-ordered this game not realizing that there was no charge at the time. When I first played it I used “skip” to get past a puzzle and was bothered by the ad that popped up. Well, I think this a great game with a mix of easy to difficult puzzles. I purchased it and am really enjoying it. There aren’t many developers making games of this quality.

Perfect app

A fun game, with great graphics. This is a well-designed game of challenging puzzles, that aren't extremely difficult, but they do make you think. Recommended!
