Games | $2.99 | RabidRogue LLC | iPhone, iPad, iPod |
It starts by selecting a random player to be the Leader. It then takes you step by step, guiding you through the setup so you don't miss any steps. Most importantly, it handles narrating the Spy Phase so you don't have to!
This app is universal and works for iPhone, iPad, and iPod.
This app is just what The Resistance needs. My gaming group has played this board game dozens of times and will have a much better experience because of this app!
Do not purchase this if you are looking to play the game. All this app does is randomly pick a leader to begin and then tell the spies to open and close their eyes. Worst $3.00 I've ever spent. It's my own fault for not looking into the product before I purchased, but I don't want you to make the same mistake I did
Bought this for $1.99 and all it does is randomly select a leader then tell you to hand out the cards. After that it plays music and has a voice say "now everyone close your eyes...bah bah...now everyone open your eyes and begin the resistance" for spies, then you reset it and do it again...I would rather just use a selector app and tell people to close their eyes when it is time to do so. I was hoping that it had missions or something to help complement game play, but nope. Just a selector.
All this does is narrate the intro where players close their eyes. It does NOT includ settings for any special role cards, it does NOT have a timer for voting phases, and it Does NOT keep track of any game elements like fails/success totals or failed vote count. Don't spend $2 on a leader randomizer. I should also mention that it doesn't in any way help with setup as it claims. It doesn't remind you of how many of each role card or any other useful function.
This app isn't even worth it if it were free. I was hoping that it would deal cards for you so you could use it in places where dealing cards is impossible.
This app is useless, I thought this was the actual game that's why I bought it... I could have bought a song with that money ???
I can live with the $1.99 price because someone did spend their time making this and it helps (a little bit) get the game going, and that isn't much money. My complaint is it should support some the expansion roles, like Commander/Merlin, etc. and work with Avalon. It's no "One Night Ultimate Werewolf" app, which is free. Really, the Resistance publisher should have made this app and done it right.
