A game that has stayed with me

I purchased this game 11 years ago back in 2009. I was in middle school, and didn’t understand how to play. I was too impatient. Yet I was drawn to the game by its retro style and seemingly infinite possibilities. Recently I went through my iTunes purchases and saw the game again. For the last few weeks, I have been hooked. I am thanking my past self for making the investment of such a phenomenal game. It is essentially Daggerfall on your phone (minus the randomly generated world). The dialogue is well thought out, interesting lore, and quite frankly could be its own RPG campaign setting. I am playing as a female undead, and it is really cool to see how being the lowest class effects choices and opportunities in game, both good and bad. For example, I couldn’t ‘hang’ with a brothel woman since she didn’t like undead, yet a nutty sorcerer gave me extra gold for a quest since we are both undead. I implore anyone interested to buy the game, and to check out the website for the manual and for the forum. Read a beginner’s guide to get your gears turning. Thank you for not only making this game, but for updating it with new DLC/current iOS updates for over a decade.

This is by far my favorite game on the App Store, and trust me I've played hundreds. The pixel art is beautiful and nostalgic, the story is well written and intriguing, the difficulty is balanced, everything about it is great. I think of this game as the perfect mobile version of the Elder Scrolls games, even though they have HD graphics and aren't turn based, because this is what works perfectly for mobile platforms. After two complete playthroughs and hundreds of hours on the expansions, I can honestly say this is one of my favorite games on any platform.

I love this game. It's one of my favorites by far. I play on an iPad though, so the game gets a bit stretched. It'd be great to have it optimized for iPad.

I only have two problems with this game, levelling up, and really understanding where it is quests are wanting me to go. Unless you memorise where some places are you have to back track a lot. Other than that this is the best rpg on the App Store and I can't put it down!

It's a really good game and certainly worth the asking price, the only problem is I messed up my character class, he's a light armor guy who wears nothing but heavy armor, so the games a bit harder than it should be but whatever, still fantastic!

A Hidden Masterpiece!

The graphics might seem very outdated, but it has charm of an old PC game from the 90's that should've come on a stack of 3 1/2 inch floppy disks. That being said, the gameplay is fun, and the graphics make it look deceptively boring. The price is more than fair for this 100+ hour game. I have been playing for about 3 months now and still have not beaten the main campaign. There are also 3 expansions included in the game as well. The game reminds me of Oblivion or Morrowind from recent years. If you like old school RPG's or want to get into it; this is the best game to start!

My Favorite IOS game!!!!!

This is an amazing game with twists, objects, side quests along with main quest. Many options to play how you want and a system that has some depth to it. It is like a 2D Elder Scrolls or Skyrim game that is just as huge. Include the many expansions and this game has so much more to offer. I downloaded the Gold Version of the Quest which adds the 1st 3 expansions after just reading reviews. And all I can say is fully satisfied! I download tons of games both paid and free and The Quest Gold Edition is definitely one of my top 3 games, cant get enough! Download, you wont be disappointed! Plus if you get stuck, wiki the Quest walk through can get you out of a jam! Good Luck and have fun!!

I can honestly say that The Quest is one of the greatest games I have ever played! There is truly nothing like it out there on the App Store. I've been sucked into this game for hours and have enjoyed every minute of it. I must admit it gets ridiculous with its add-on's, story wise and names, but their challenge is enough to keep you pushing on this game even after you beat the story. Which I might add takes some serious skill! Good luck finding an internet guide to get you past this games puzzles. Because they don't exist.
