Best sailing game on iOS

This is hands down the best game featuring sailing combat on iOS. The only complaints I have are the dodgy AI and a trade problem when attacked en route. I’ll be running trade between ports to gain money and get a confederacy attack mid-route. I don’t want to battle so I hit the “evade enemy ships” option, and my entire fleet sails straight into an island, resulting in being easy pickings for the pirates. This is an all-around problem; enemy ships will be sailing to attack me and try to sail straight through an island. In open world I’ll have “follow me” enabled, and my fleet will sail straight into an island trying to sail directly to me, instead of sailing around obstacles. About the en route attacked trade problem, when I am running trade routes and am attacked en route, after successfully evading or sinking the enemy the cheap/expensive wares have changed, and I have to find a new destination for my trade items. It’s not that big of a deal, just something that breaks the immersion this game produces so well. Another suggestion would be a “fight or flee” option. When pirates or patrol ships attempt to attack you en route a menu would pop up. If your ships are faster than the attackers, you can just hit “flee” and sail on to your intended destination. If not, you will have to choose “fight” and battle the enemies. All in all this game is so well thought out and developed. I have recommended this to all my friends who love sailing combat and every one that’s downloaded the game has been pleased.

This game is truly the best pirate/sailing game on the App Store. Although, could you consider adding a movie accurate Black Pearl and Flying Dutchman? And maybe increase the fleet size to more ships? I'd love to have an armada and the ability to fight other armadas. Plus can you make cannon fire sporadic and spread out?

Yep, another well written game that is sadly pay to win. Losing a ship means losing your money. Where is Sid Meier when you need him. Money pit!

As many other reviewers have said, this is a great game. It is probably the best age of sail naval combat game on mobile devices. The expansive open world is time consuming but still fun. The combat is fantastic. Unfortunately there are a few major weaknesses that keep this game from a higher rating. 1: you need a newer device. The game runs well on my iPhone 6S+ but crashes so often on my iPad mini that it is unplayable. 2: the game is supposedly free but if you don't pay for the ad free version you will be constantly interrupted with ads. Incredibly annoying. Paying for perks like premium ships is one thing but paying to have a smooth play experience is ridiculous. 3: your ships don't do anything unless you personally command them. You can have multiple fleets of ships at different ports but doing anything with any of the takes time meaning your other ships are idle. For example, you cannot order your cargo ships to do trading while you are out a pirating. You can send them out on adventures but then you lose all control of them except for a recall function. All in all, a few changes and updates/fixes could make this a truly fantastic game.

I got the Duke of Kent ship a few days ago and I thought man this is going to be expensive to pay the crew but only 600 coins is required to pay so great game and I recommend it for all
