Love the new app design

EEP2007

I find the design of the new Mood Meter app to be more streamlined and easier to plot my emotions. The sharing component has been super helpful with my co-workers, friends and family.

Update is terrible

Mike.P

Whereas I used to be able to float around in the interface and quickly find a mood, now I agree with other reviewers: this update creates much more friction to finding the right mood and looks to have made the app much more of a data collection effort than a useful tool for one’s life. So disappointed. I’ve recommended this to all kinds of people, but no more. Why do developers continue to ruin great ideas in the name of data collection?

Update Ruined It

Quailsx

So disappointed in the developer that they erased all our records without warning. Updating to the new version meant I lost several years of data. Precious interface was better, too.

Graph

The graph doesn’t fit the screen well. If I choose an outside square, I can see the outside mood

I feel disappointed, angry and disgusted.

otiakz

it’s not what I expected. i saw app review on youtube and After buying an app I discovered that the video was published on 2014. What i saw in this video was perfect .. crucial feature was to make notes in app about my feelings which now is missing and i never had chance to use this feature, this fact is disgraceful! I can’t imagine how they could remove this feature from this app, how they could make so many steps backwards . And this stupid frames and small spectrum of colors is disgusting without freedom of expression. This is just stupid emotion vocabulary . U can’t even go deep in your collected data. I can’t understand how they removed key feature from app. It’s not right thing to do.

Wish it had pics or faces

Kblock2056

Wish it had pics or faces for the words associated with the moods so that kids can pick their own moods rather than have to read them to them. I also agree with the other reviewer that for those who work in NYS Ed Law 2D prevents us from entering students PII.

I used to love Mood Meter

Saroi75

I used to love Mood Meter, but since these updated version was rolled out I can’t say I love it anymore. The part I miss the most is not being able to write why I was feeling the way I was feeling. Major bummer.

Written Response

Jnette88

I appreciated being able to write why I felt a certain to track my feelings. However, this is an amazing app and it’s helped me quite a bit

Strongly dislike the new version

CamaCaraMaria

All my data is gone from prior years, I can see more in version history this would happen but who’s phone isn’t on auto-update? Also lost the ability to add a note along with the mood. There’s a multiple choice for work, home other.. why can’t there also be a short text field to enter exactly what is going on?? And a true upgrade would be showing the user to add their own tags. The design isn’t even that much better, it’s not that intuitive, I’m clicking around expecting more. It’s a lump of design updates at the expense of enhancing the product. I prefer the simplicity of the original. I liked the 4 quadrant view and the tutorial was helpful and I was able to share the concept with many people with that tutorial alone.

Keyboard Bug

Abbott Tech CT

Other than the fact that I can not type in the app, I know that once this bug is fixed I will love the app even more. Great work to Dr. Brackett and his team. I picked up his book Permission to Feel and learned about this app. I am excited to implement everything I have learned in my own life as well as in my work with high school students.
