Wouldve given 4 or 5 stars, but the ads, man, the ADS!

Pretty decent surfing game to pass time. Decent controls, good maneuvers, cool spots. But we just want to surf and if you have to keep unlocking moves to progress and you will lose lives doing this. Once you use up those lives, you have to wait a few minutes or watch some 30 sec ads. This will happen. A LOT. Especially the further you progress. Overall, could be a much more fun game if lax on the judging and get rid of 3/4’s of the ads!!!!! P.s, practice is the most fun, but only limited to one wave.

Facebook....

Won’t let me connect my Facebook it just takes me back to the original screen and I don’t want to skip because I’ll lose my whole game which I completed start to finish..... fix it

Accidentally clicked a little box that always pops up trying to get you to buy fins. Didn't mean buy the fins. They just pop up on the map so it really easy to accidentally hit the button and there is not a “are you sure” feature when you buy something incase you accidentally clicked it like i did. I emailed the support email about 5 or 6 times and still yet to hear back. Good to know they're working real hard to support their consumers...

Nobody paid me to write this review, nobody from the journeys front office contacted me to boost morale with the ratings. Str8 up this hands down the best surfing game I’ve ever seen. I dunno how stickman surfing got 5 stars over this one, no offense to the stickman campaign but for real to the consumers this game is gross, I’ve been glued to it for a couple weeks now. Realistic waves for at least the maybe 6 or seven spots I have in reality surfed. I don’t know what else to say other than it is a realistic surfing game with simplistic controls and something like 300 waves I’ve barely dented being stuck on like Region 12 of 26 on Wave 5 or something. Conquering in Battles or Challenges Online is Pride on a Plate.

Great game but

Irie Golfer !!!

How do I get to compete in the events of the virtual tour ??? The game is the best graphics in a surfing game I ever played, but I can’t or don’t know how to compete

The whole game it's just level after level. Sometimes you just wanna free ride a wave, but you have to beat a wave twice to unlock free ride on said wave and the second time you try to beat a wave you have to use different moves that you have to unlock first. So you basically have to play through most of the game just to unlock free ride on certain waves. If you just want to ride a wave without doing the challenges you can, but you'll lose your lives (you only have 20) and then you'll have to wait for them to regenerate or pay to get more. Overall the in-app purchases rule over the game which is no good. You can't buy anything in the shop unless you want to pay real money. You can't even watch ads to get free money it's all in app purchases. When you ride a wave you can't get too deep or you lose which I think is stupid considering their definition of "deep" is like 2 feet into the barrel. Overall - Not enough game mode options, too hard making it not that enjoyable, too much in app purchases, barrels are nearly impossible with their measuring system, and the awesome/good/thumbs down points system is rigged and I hate it. Just let me surf and give me a little slack. Sometimes you do perfect moves but get a thumbs down. I don't want the points system or at least give me a little slack. Game is fun and can be better, but it just needs some work.

Good game, but

This game is super addicting, super fun the graphics are really good as well. My only problem is the energy bar. I think it's fair for the journey game mode. But for practice it's pretty ridiculous. To the point where you get 8 minutes of playing time then you have to wait 2 hours for it reload. Another thing that bothers me about practice is that it doesn't let you do tricks that you haven't unlocked. Defeats the whole point of practice. I recommend getting it but it can be frustrating at times.
