Cal will lead you through The Human Calculator Matrix to help you discover how numbers really work and show you how to think like the fastest mathlete in the world.
The Human Calculator Matrix is a 10 x 10 number grid from 00 - 99. After you select a color for each of the 10 digits 0 - 9, Cal will teach you addition and subtraction facts and show you how to move through the matrix to figure out the answers. You will also learn the ’secret to numbers’ and the power of the number 9.
The Human Calculator App is designed for students under 9 years old, or anyone who feels like they just never ‘got it’ when it comes to numbers. Cal will help you overcome your fear and anxiety with numbers and help you feel more comfortable with numbers and basic arithmetic in everyday life.
We are hoping parent and grandparents will take the time to go through this app with their families to show them how important numbers really are in our lives and how numbers really do add up.

This app is awesome for kids that are starting to learn arithmetic operations. The app will trigger a great curiosity for numbers as the game reveals interesting patterns in a simple matrix.

The Human Calculator app is a great tool that teaches you the patterns when adding and subtracting numbers. I believe this should be use world wide and reach every single kid before they reach 9 years old.

It asks you to enter your age, so I entered mine. Everyone has to do the SAME EXERCISES regardless of age: color in the right digit of every number from zero-hundred, then do the same for the left digit of those numbers, then color in each number from zero to nine with a different color for each number....I couldn't stand anymore. My 6 year old (who was sitting next to me) agreed it was stupid. It'll be deleted right after this review is posted. I wish I could permanently delete this app from my account without contacting Apple!
Finger numbing

Having to shade 100’s of digits can drive one crazy. However, it doesn’t make it easy in an iPhone - I had to tap 300 times to Shade 99 numbers- it’s doesn’t detect your finger well. The game became “see how fast I can shade by tapping in the right place with right amount of pause” Irritating. Excited about the methods, I hope the paperbacks are better for the kids (and me). Maybe an adult version? Or change method of teaching the pattern with age?
