Great Viewer!

Love the speed of rendering and the accuracy of the content. Support was phenomenal. John and the team put more time and personal touch into solving my problem than I have ever experienced.

Nice application to link drop box account.

Big Pages

BadAtDoubleMinus

As an engineer I've always found there is dismal support for large complex drawing say the standard 36 by 24 inches page size on the iPad. Heck a large project might have 100+ sheets. Those are impossible to view before I found this product. Now they open in this product in a few seconds, paging is great, swipe and there is the next page. Talked to the support staff, great support they really care about eking the last dregs of performance out of my iPad. Also fed it a 927 page PDF I had on the principles of the mechanics of brittle fracture of materials, ya ya who else but an engineer needs something like that on his iPad, but would I rather carry the book around? I think not. As a bonus I discovered they also make a Fax Reader, that's the only product I've seen in the store that will let me read faxes and not be tied to some pricey web service that is selling fax pages at a buck a shot, don't need to send faxes, just need to see them. Silly that Mail won't show more than the first page and I have to buy another product to see page two. After upgrading I found they didn't miss a beat, they tell me they moved stuff from their Map app into this app to improve overall performance and to ensure page to page movement was even faster.

Wow Fast !!!!!!!!!!!

Does what it says it will do. Made the paging thru my math text book really fast, other stupid readers just take forever for the diagrams to draw. But after doing the pre renderings button, I can flip between pages just as fast as I can flick my finger. Other apps might have more features at the moment but for me it's all about the drawing speed. A month later I've loaded all my PDF text books into the app, actually I've stored them in the Dropbox area, but since it's cached I have access even if I'm not on the internet. Even handled the few password protected ones I got from my professor. I thought my math textbook paged fast, but when I got to load my differential equations one the line charts just draw so fast I couldn't believe it.

made paging thru large books easy

MathMajorToo

Used the pre-render function, then it just made viewing large PDF documents so much faster. Who has time to wait for some app to show the page, I noticed it cleared all the lag time up in viewing my automobile user manual since that seem to take 10 seconds to draw the shaded dashboard in that other PDF Reader app I was using. For sure these guys think different and have a better way to show PDF pages.

Stellar Viewer

This reader is superb. I don't use the Drop Box, but purchased the full version anyway......I was testing pdf readers for my daughter who has 100+ page documents to read for college. I was impressed and purchased the "reader" version for her. After an approx. 3 minute rendering, her files were easy to read page after page with no screen recalculating. I use this app myself, recently viewing multiple page home insurance quotes. Zooming and scrolling the documents are instantaneous. I've used this app to view 11x17 spreadsheets, again with instantaneous views as I zoom and scroll through parts of the documents. Tech support is superb. I received an email reply within an hour. This was a Sunday evening. My query had revealed a slight bug in the program, it was promptly addressed, added to the recent update, and followup emails kept me informed.

Probably not worth the money, try iBooks from apple first

Turbotj

It loads PDF's easily and seems to have minimal lag. The main problem is changing pages. Sometimes the next page is off center (as in, only the bottom left quarter of the page is showing) and turning pages is difficult. I just discovered iBooks from apple and I think it works better! Also, it doesn't remember the last thing you viewed when you open it the next time

Fails with large textbooks!

TXFlip

I bought it specifically to read Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine 17th and it fails miserably during pre-rendering less than 1000 pages through the process (3352 pages total). This happens both on my iPad 1 and iPhone4.

No comparison for reading PDF

It has two incomparable features that make reading PDF more pleasurable than any other app out there 1. It pre-renders and thus increases the browsing speed to almost zero response time... Awesome! 2. It can scale pages to screen width regardless of their shape or size...! This is an awesome feature that I could not find in any other app. So you can vertically scroll your PDF as one big continuous page (without trying to adjust the width with pinch or zoom)!!
