So-So

Transporter 1

When hand is over, the red fold is in the way of the persons hand making it difficult to determine the hand. Try putting the signs above or to the side of the hand. “Winner” is not always the correct winner! I’ll bet no one sees this!

Just ‘ok’

Skrappi69

Color scheme for buttons is hard to see. Game will occasionally error and beat a higher hand with a lower one. AI is predictable and not very challenging.

Glitches

reelmac

Shows wrong winner Freezes up and have to start over again

Ads

catforqueen

I understand the necessity of ads, but frequently they pop up and take you out of the app, causing the game to quit out and lose all progress. Mostly I enjoy the app and how it teaches skills, but the ads really make it difficult to tolerate.

Ads before even playing

Marshmellaw1982

Opened the app, clicked on the lesson type, BOOM ad, redirect to the App Store immediately before even playing. Deleted the app instantly and went through the hassle of resetting my Apple ID just to leave this review.

There's a good app in here...somewhere...

AllTh3N1cknamesRTaken

This is the germ of an idea for a decent app. Also, people who are completely clueless about Hold'em (I mean, can't-tell-a-straight-from-a-flush clueless) will find some value in the basic-level training. That's what's saving this app from a one-star rating. Now, the bad news: the explanations are convoluted, and the "poker math" is so complicated as to be ridiculous. Computing your hand odds is okay, but the math required to calculate pot odds is so complex that nobody could possibly do it at the poker table without a calculator. Provide some rules of thumb, not completely unusable algebraic equations! The AI in the poker simulation should stand for Absolutely Idiotic. And I mean players calling All-In bets with 2-3 unsuited when there's 10-10-J-J on the board idiotic. Add to that the fact that the game crashes on a regular basis, and you get me uninstalling as soon as this review is done!

I paid to remove ads, but ads still pop up

TrailingDots

$4.99 to remove ads and still they come. I even got an "ads removed" message - what is going on? Just started playing so I don't know how the rest of this app will fare.

Ads

!@#123$%^

Paid for ad removal, still there. Emailed developer, no response

Gem in the rough

Shakazuuluu

By rough - graphics The gem is in the knowledge and trainer/exercise functions. I think most will find it useful.

Pricy but worth it.

Cooron

Very easy to use and free if you don't mind adds. You pay a bit to unlock ad removal but you can mostly get by without it. I have not seen any app on the App Store that can give as many training tools in one package until I found this app. Very useful.
