I mentioned the phone type bc that might be a reason why so many less than stellar reviews. Works fine on my phone. Might buy the paid version although I just ignore the ads. This is Tetris. In whatever form you get it, it's still Tetris so of course it won't be cheap. You can't compare Tetris to anything else - you spend more on food than you would a Tetris game? If it doesn't work well on your phone then don't buy it. But for ppl who love Tetris, enjoy it :) my only issue is that you can't put the pieces wherever you want. That's why I gave it 4 stars. Music is good, not irritating and the colors are not over the top. Can't play those bubble popping games anymore with the crazy characters and way too much color. Thanks for a great app!!

This is not Tetris. It's not the traditional blocks falling and stacking puzzle game. It's not fun, all you do is just pick where the block goes in a highlighted area. BORING
Please bring original Tetris back!

This remake is horrible! Don't tamper with classics. The "updated" UI is terrible. You can't "improve" the controls on Tetris. It's a very simple game: piece drops, you position it before it hits bottom. End of story. EA proves once again why they are the worst game company the business. The controls are terrible I love playing Tetris but the rotating and dropping of the blocks are terrible. The blocks will not drop in the proper position I put then in and when I try to drop the blocks, they don't drop. Unusable You broke it. One of my favorite games is now unusable because of ads. It had been simply that ads ran before a game. Then before and after a game. Now, ads pop up in the middle of a game ... Not just once, but SEVERAL times in a game. Worthless now. I'm uninstalling. Ad-saturated and bad controls EA, being the money-grubbing customer-blind Leviathan of a company it is, subjects you to a blizzard of genuinely ugly, obnoxious, spammy ads. I *might* have been willing to put up with that, if the terrible controls didn't frequently cause me to break my flow and my streak of strong drops by placing a block in a place other than where I selected. Oh, and it's a battery gobbler too. Uninstalling. I refuse to give EA another cent of ad revenue.

I really enjoyed this playing this version of Tetris! After playing maybe 25 games, a message came up after I had lost a level. It said, "To keep playing this level, watch an ad" or "quit this level". All I needed to do was quit that level, and I could have tried again or watch the ad. I touched both options, but neither would work. I've deleted and reinstalled the app. We'll see if it works. If I can't do either option, I have no choice.

Total garbage app. Game two it started throwing up pop apps that hijacked my phone to open the App Store to random other games that made the game unplayable. Worth less than the no money it costs.

Can't even play a full round without it kicking you out to the App Store. How am I supposed to think about buying the full version when I can't even play the free one!?
This is NOT classic Tetris

This is not classic Tetris. The settings are terrible and interface on the app is unappealing. Could not change the settings on the app to remove showing a ghost piece which made the game unplayable. Do not waste the space on your phone with this terrible remake of a wonderful game.
Overly annoying ads

In the middle of a round an ad randomly takes me to the App Store and you cannot get back to the game...I'm done with this game, I'm ok with ads but EA has too many overly annoying ads.
Love the game but...

I paid $4.99 for no ads. And I still get ads. So when you're still playing the game it forces you to watch 15-30 second long videos to get 10 more plays. Which goes by pretty fast. Super annoying. Done everything like resetting my phone. Closing the app. Ewww
