LEARNING

Science Leaders is an entertaining game that helps students: improve reading, learn about science and history, engage in critical thinking, boost motivation to learn, and get introduced to new science careers.

•Features ethnically diverse scientists with primary focus on African Americans, Latinos and women, who are underrepresented in STEM education and careers.

•A good resource for Black History Month to encourage learning about African American scientists and inventors.

•Teachers, homeschoolers, parents and enrichment program directors will want to assign students the mobile game app to take advantage of the ubiquity of mobile devices in the lives of kids and teens today.

•After playing the game several times in an attempt to achieve the highest possible score, players will come to know each of the 30 science leaders and at least one of their accomplishments.

•To extend this new knowledge, curiosity and interest from playing the game, infuse curricula with follow up lessons in science, reading, writing, geography, history and life skills in an engaging way.

• To assist with this effort, KidPositive is releasing later this year the TellMeWhoIAm Science Leaders Learning Kit, and the Science Leaders mobile game will be a key resource in that curriculum for teachers and parents.

•Although the game can and should be played by the entire family, the primary target age group for educational purposes is 9-14 years-old.

ADDING NEW GAME LEVELS

We will add new levels to the game to make it increasingly fun and challenging as well as introduce new Tell Me Who I Am games in the future.

Entertaining and Educational

What a brilliant way to incorporate entainment in a true historical form. My children and I love this app and we plan to share it with everyone!

Well done!

I am in a special science program at my school to help minority kids succeed in STEM. So one of the teachers just told us we have to download this game. We have to keep playing it to see who gets the best score for a team competition. Whoever wins gets a prize. I thought it would be boring but it's fun to play. Kind of challenging but that's okay. You will have to play several times to get good at it unless you already know all the science leaders. So it's good for kids learning about science.

Great game! Our children need to know who they are and where they came from. These scientists are great role models. There should be more apps like this

Great science game for all !!

This is an amazing game that will both teach and entertain all those in your family. Each time that I play, I learn more and more about our science leaders. As a parent, I've bought and played other science games before, but none have been as fun and interesting as this one. And more importantly, this game has diverse characters, including African Americans, Latinos and women. Love it !!

Exceptional game!

Great educational tool for the entire family! It's rare to hear about the accomplishments of people of color in math and science. A fun way to get more youth of color excited about these subjects. Every school should be on board with this game!
