Wonderful and Fun App for Learning to Tell Time!!!

Telling Time with the Smurfs is a truly fun way to learn about telling time. In this app, children can utilize a fantastic "learn" section, a read section that takes the learning and lets the child apply it during a story, a practice section, and a game section. I really like the learn section for kids who are relatively new to telling time on analog clocks. It does a great job of explaining how they work, and how to tell time. The read section uses a short story, to allow kids to use their new skills, and the practice section gives kids a change to try out their skills. In play, kids can help Smurfette fly on a bird by matching the correct clock with the time given. This is a neat and motivating app to get kids interested in working on telling time. I recommend it. There are no IAPs or ads, and all external links are secured.

My kids aren’t all that familiar with the Smurfs (sad, I know, because I grew up loving these little blue folks) and analog time-telling is definitely something they are still working on, so this app was pretty much a no-brainer to buy. We love that it reinforces learning time with audio, and the Surfs make it fun. The “read” section is actually brilliant as it is a visual experience that gives my kids context while they learn and practice learning to use the clock, rather than seeming like just a boring lesson. It has made practicing reading and setting a clock (different skill sets) so much more engaging and interesting, so a *huge* thank you to Cupcake Digital (and the Surfs) for making something that has been a struggle into something that is actually fun and keeps them working at it without realizing they are sort of doing homework. :) Keep them coming, I’m looking forward to your next app now!

When I was a kid I loved The Smurfs so as soon as I saw this app I knew I had to download it so I could feel nostalgic while playing with my son. Much to my relief he absolutely loves this app and The Smurfs now. He is just learning how to read so the storybook is great for him. It reads aloud with the text on the bottom so he can follow along. I have to say one of the better App Store purchases I have made.

This is a great way to help kids learn to tell time. I can really tell a diffence with my granddaughter. It works well.

This app is great for kids. The smurf branding fits in perfectly with the mini learning games. There are games for learning the different times on a clock and has a couple of reading lessons also.

it's a great app to teach your kids to read the time on an analog clock. It reads out all the things you need to know so even if your child can't read it he/she can follow it and still learn how to do it. There is also a short story that goes with learning to read the time so he/she can get some more experience in doing so in a very fun environment.

It's a lovely little educational game that hits the mark in helping children learn to read clocks. I wish I had this app when my daughter was learning this. It has s variety of levels and games to educate and challenge. I think it's a shame not too many children will know the smurfs the way I did growing up, but this is a nice start.

One of the great apps that I allow my kid to interact with. I definitely recommend this one if you are looking for an app to teach your kid how to read time.
