A really useful app

Have you ever been concerned about coming across well on a video? How about saying the right things at the right pace? This app resolves that apprehension, allowing for a clear, effective delivery. It took minimal time to adjust settings to get the right pace to deliver. Brilliant app

New to Teleprompter apps

cdpschool

Our school is now producing videos on a weekly basis and needed a better way to scroll the script rather than a screen behind the presenters and someone scrolling the words with a mouse. We went with Teleprompter Premuim and could not believe the great support we got right from the start. The app is easy to use and does everything promised. A great tool.

Great

It has been a blessing to me as I put five minute presentations on FB

The New Teleprompter Premium!

Whidbeyjim

I just got through using the new teleprompter app to record a new video that my IT guy said I needed fast. No problem with this great tool. Wrote a minute script in word then simply imported it into teleprompter, adjusted the speed and after just two takes I and with my partners iPhone, my new video was ready to roll! Thanks Joe Allen for a great and valuable productivity app! Jim Eckel

Great product support!!

UPDATE: I’m happily changing my rating from 1 star to 5 stars. Joe Allen did respond to my original post and kept responding until we got to the bottom of my issues. I’m an actor who videos my auditions then submits them to my agents. Turns out Video Teleprompter is his product that fits my needs best. I highly recommend VT - it’s perfect for actors who need to self tape an audition and submit it and there is no watermark. Teleprompter Premium is a good product but Video Teleprompter is Joe’s product that makes auditioning less stressful for me. OLD REVIEW: I emailed Joe Allen when my attempt to take advantage of the 50% discount failed when I tried to claim it around 10p CST on January 23, 2020. Your app still asked for $12.99. It’s now 7:47p January 24th and to date I’ve received no response to my email. Someone is asleep at the wheel!

Great app, missing one critical thing

CBCBDCBCBD

This is the best of the bunch for teleprompters. The file handling is great, everything works as advertised. The one thing I find frustrating with this app that some of the other teleprompter apps have is landscape orientation locking. You can use the built in orientation locking to keep it in portrait mode, but the iPhone doesn’t allow you to lock orientation in landscape. Some of the other apps do this. I wish it could be added to this one and then it would be a 5 star.

doesn’t work w remote

Excellent for the price

I use this on my iPad with the Glide Gear Teleprompter. Very intuitive. I’m able to grab a word doc script from email and export it straight to the app. Love that functionality! Scroll function has variable speeds from 1-30 and very easy to adjust. Pretty easy to make small edits to a script, change font size, margins, justification, etc. Apparently you can pair it with another device via Bluetooth for better scroll control, but I couldn’t get my iPhone and iPad paired up. For 12.99 this is fantastic for short pieces (e.g. 1 minute). If I can get the Bluetooth function working it will be great for longer scripts.

No support. No tutorials nor answers

No support. No tutorials nor answers from the seller. I wrote him on last May asking some help but he had never answered before continuing to sending marketing emails.

Be prepared for the never ending sales emails

I purchased this app to use with a traditional beam-splitter based teleprompter. I originally downloaded the free version but quickly realized it does not allow the import of scripts and does not reverse the text which makes it useless for corporate video purposes so I bought the premium app. The basic functionality of the app works like any other program that can scroll text and reverse it. The major problem with purchasing this app are the multiple marketing emails you receive. Just this morning I received another of his marketing spam emails trying to sell another app. I notified the sender to never send me another email and he proceeded to send several more emails under the false premise of “continuing the conversation” . When a customer says “never send me another email again” that’s the end of the so called “conversation”. I’m sure it’s a competitive market when you sell an app that simply scrolls text files. I’m sure there are many competitors who can create a better app since the bar for entry is so low but that’s no excuse for multiple spam emails in one morning. I have no idea whether the spam comes from someone named “Joe Allen” (as shown on the emails) or if there are people within that company using that as their customer service email handle. When a customer tells you not to email them again any additional emails are spam and you should never spam your customer. Again - because this “developer” seems to have a hard time grasping the concept - if you send a marketing email to a customer and the customer responds by telling you to “never email me again” anything you send them after that point ...is spam. This “developer” was triggered when confronted with this fact and that’s why he continued to send 5 more emails in one morning. Each time the “developer” sent another spam email I reiterated my instructions for him to never email me again but his feelings must have been hurt and he couldn’t help himself. To Apple I ask, is this the type of “developer” you allow in your store? His odd behavior begs the question. What kind of developer sends multiple spam emails to one customer in one morning? Is business so strong that you can take the time to pester a customer who opted out of your marketing spam? Is your time valuable?
