Ads in $6.99 app - SHAME ON YOU

Say it ain't so. I am thoroughly disgusted and wish I'd never deleted and reinstalled. On second thought, I am sorry I ever purchased it in the first place. Shame on you.

Severly Disappointed

My daughter’s favorite show right now is Team UmiZoomi. One morning I thought “Hey, I wonder if they have a TUZ game?” I find this and pull the trigger a moment after hesitating because of the price. As it was downloading I check the reviews and start to regret my decision. For the firs time, I check for a return policy on the App Store. Too late, I bought it. When it finally downloaded I turned my daughter loose. For her age she’s pretty adept at firing up games and getting around in them. With this she would often get stuck and frustrated and come to me. It took her awhile to navigate and would often end up at a screen trying to sell her something. Yeah, more to buy after already dropping $7. I started to cringe if I heard her playing somewhere and opening up the app. My wife commented one night “I guess you bought the TUZ game? I hate it…" Thinking of deleting it after a couple of days. So many better games that are worth that kind of money.

so much yakking; bugs

When you first start this game, you have to "pick a player" - that is, type in a name. However, you cannot use an external keyboard; you must use the on-screen keyboard for your device. This limitation may be why some reviewers have not been able to get into the game. Once in, you're still likely to be disappointed. There is so much yakking before you can even begin to play. I haven't seen any way to get past that on start-up. Once actually playing any of the game choices, you have to put up with the typical overly cheerful, overly obvious, overly encouraging babble about what to do and commentary on what you have just done. The feedback is tediously repetitive - just like so many kids' shows (Jake and the Pirates comes to mind). The games themselves have merit, but the emphasis placed on "good job" and winning badges (why does every effort require a reward?) detracts from the learning and experience, in my opinion.

Love it

Love this app, great basic concepts to number order, counting, subtracting, and number recognition (even numbers higher then 20). My 4 1/2 year old loves it. Each time my child completes a game he gets a badge for his collection. This is one of the better apps we have purchased. I think it is worth every dollar. I find that if I play the games with my child now and then it helps them understand some of the concepts better. However a child can easily play this on their own. I wish more of the apps focused on education like this one.
