Great addition to creative library

lostproductivity

This is a very cool sound app. Have found that shorter samples avoiding spikes work best to avoid the rattling and clicking that repeat in key presses sometimes. Dropbox support would be fantastic... could rule the world with Freesound!

Disappointing

After watching a video I was excited about the capabilities. But then after trying it as an audio unit in BM3, I feel completely ripped off. The ability to use your own samples from a session doesn’t seem to exist. All the cool modulation options are no longer there either... Everything is about audiounits these days. If developers don’t make their stuff to run smoothly and function 100 percent as audiounits, it’s a wasted effort... Disappointing. I wanted to be able to give it 5 stars after seeing the video on it. Make honest videos, there’s no practical purpose to how an app functions in standalone. Show how it works in practical applications as audiounits.

Cool

Outdone himself on this one. I want this plugged into a loud speaker inside a silo. I’ve been transported to another dimension with some of these patches. Buy this now, it will align you your chakras.

special ambient synth

rcon303

I own all of his wonder synths some of which are simple but very thick and amazing sounding.this nee app is my fave out of all of your synths now!i live the expressiveness of the built in keyboard and the ability to control parameters with the x y axis in each note !!brilliant!!perfect for ambient drone soundscapes ..buy every synth this dev makes you wont regret it they are all amazing !!!!!!!!!!

Simply stunning!

First app I’ve gotten excited about in a while. Amazing idea that pushes the boundaries of granular synthesis. Today I sampled a dial tone from my phone and made an epic pad sound! Would love to see an update where you could layer more than one sample at a time within the same layer. Buy this app!

Interestingly subtle❣️

Eriptron

Update: The developer quickly fixed the inability topick the last waveform on the side pull-over panel as the IAA icon covers it on the IAA transport control panel. Now I can also just do a single touch to pull out the side bar. ? It’s still annoying having part of the audiogram covered. Just make it a callapsible pull out menu. The UI will look cleaner too. Oh, I forgot. I still can’t get any audio through tardigrain used as an AU. Now off for some more ‘sonic seasonings’ tardigrain style❣️ ——— While some interesting sounds are to be had with the tardigrain app, there are some serious UI design issues. First, you can’t pick the last waveform on the side pull-over panel as the IAA icon covers it on the IAA transport control panel. Both the control icon panel and the IAA transport panel overlay the audiogram, which is your working area. Both of those groups of icons, ideally, should be collapsible pullout panels like the one they have, but to be able to ‘just touch’ the expansion icon to expand for access, like many other sound/synth/audio apps developers do. The pull-over panel on the right, as it is now, can take anywhere from 2-3 touch/pulls to as many as 8-10 tries on my iPad Pro on iOS 11. A real pain. I think the strength of tardigrain may lie in the flexibility of the sound source. Trying to use tardigrain as an AU, so far, as soon as I engage it I lose all sound no matter what I do.

Granular manipulation like no other

Ase o/m/g

There are many audio manipulation apps..however, if manipulating the audio on a granular level is what you’re after then this app is ahead of the pack. The interface is clean with no words, primarily images which means you have to press the question (?) mark icon to figure out how to control & adjust your audio file. There is a modulation section for more control but it’s virtually hidden and perhaps misplaced. To get to the modulation section you have to swipe a thin strip left, then it practically covers the entire audio waveform. The various parameters in the modulation section are all vertical including the words and making adjustments are very awkward. And because the audio waveform is blocked any adjustments you make to it by way of the modulation section are hidden. Also, the entire app is the color gray (dark & light) with just a splash of color here & there. Adding some more colors will help distinguish where certain controls are and the icons that overlay the waveform needs to be rethought. Interface niggles aside, a very good granular app! -M.
