This is how you kill your app.

I’ve been a long time player of Tap Studio, since the original, and while some of the updates were less than spectacular, operating on a “token” system in the tap vault when it’s been free for literally years is an enormous misstep and a blatant cash grab. I remember when players were actually rewarded with power ups for playing, and on an app that’s been largely free to play for ages, this is exactly how you kill your app. Will no longer be playing this unfortunately, as I’m not going to shell out for “Picks” to play something that was originally free for everyone.

Fun but annoying sync issues

I’ve been playing this for a while. There are a lot tunes for well known and obscure songs you may own. You can also create your own taps and uploaded/share. The nickel-and-diming fees for power ups and other point boosting is kind of excessive. One thing I’ve always noticed is some songs are so out of sync while others play rock solid. The songs I’ve created used to play great until a couple days ago. Now when I start a song it may not show anything to tap (developer: it flashes the 5000 bonus number then 3-2-1, then nothing appears) or it may be out of sync, a little or a lot. Some songs are ok. The editing tool is ‘ok’. You can move taps and extend the rail. An audio waveform underlay would help align early or late taps to beats. It’s gets 4 stars because of the cost and it’s not perfect. I’m close to a 3 though because of this sync and blank tap issue.

I’ve been playing this game since I found out about it in 2008! I’m always sad when I don’t have Apple Music to play and immediately download the app or begin to play when I do have music. I love the game play and have experienced the few glitches as well. But I strongly suggest that the developers not quit on this one. Put some love into it, revamp it even, bring it back to life. I love this game.

This game is really fun and to allow users to grab music directly from Apple Music makes this even better! The only thing that I would change honestly is the way everything is layed out because it takes a while to get used to. Please update this game because it really has a lot of potential and could be even more fun if the lay out was different. But overall, i cant stop playing this game!

This game was a 10/10 game until this new update. I don’t like that you have to use lives for your own tapes you made. They should change it for ones that other people made.
