When the infantry marches, rather, waddles, it looks like they're taken a crap in their pants. If they have , then this is indeed a very realistic war sim.

Slow moving but love strategy games & good ones with the IOS are very far & between. Also noticed the IAP are just additional campaigns which was also a deciding factor since many games (i.e. Easy Tech) make games impossible to beat without spending loads of $ to make your army strong enough to compete.

Other than the computer taking its sweet time to play, my complaint with this game is that enemy randomly appear and disappear in the middle of the map. Not very fair since my reinforcements always appear at the edge of the map. I won't be paying for an upgrade as long as this is happening.

It's fun....I'm old enough to have actually having to play these hex games on a board. I have lowered my rating to 3....the inability to move then fire at reduced effect is sorely missing from this game. I continue to buy new add ons for the other hex war tank games, (eastern front 1941,42,43,44, 45 and North Africa which do have this capability, but will not spend any more on 1944 until move then fire is fixed.

They really ruined this game with this update. The text is now incredibly small on an iPhone and you can't read it. The icons are hard to see. The vehicle firing rules are really poor, such as vehicles in the middle of high ground and not on the edge of the high ground being able to shoot other vehicles in the low ground. Just crap. They should warn people that this upgrade totally changes the game into nothing resembling the great game they had before.

I think this game is great and when I'm done with it I'm going to get the full version. My favorite part of the game is that you can zoom in and out of the map.
