TangoTab is a free mobile app that helps users discover great restaurants nearby, but there is one thing that makes TangoTab really stick out... Every time you use TangoTab at a partner restaurant, TangoTab feeds a person in need through food charity in your community.
You can help end hunger in your community. As of May 2016, TangoTab users have fed over 1.5 million people in need. You can also feed more people by getting your friends involved. For each friend that you invite who downloads the app, we feed 5 people and they feed 5 more.
For TangoTabbers:
• Discover thousands of restaurants in over 10 cities
• Find the restaurant you like and click ‘Count Me In’
• Upon arrival at the restaurant, go into ‘My Meals’ and find the restaurant you are at. Open that option and click ‘TangoTab It’
• If there is an offer, show the confirmation code to your serve. No offer? Just continue dining like you normally would. We take care of the feeding person in need.
• TangoTab donates the cost of a meal to a local food bank every time you use the app
• In the app you can find stories about the people that we are feeding, request new restaurants, cities and more

Like the concept, question the motivation

1. The rewards program doesn’t actually give you rewards. Maybe this is just a DFW office issue, but despite multiple emails and phone calls, I’ve never received either of the gift cards I requested. I also clicked on the customer service link on the website on 3 different occasions and got no responses. Why offer rewards if you won’t make good on them? 2. This got me looking into the company more and I was disappointed to find it is a private, for-profit company (found on Bloomberg). Why would a company with a wonderful mission like this be for-profit? This feels shady and disingenuous to me. 3. The company I work for originally suggested TangoTab as a nice way to help the community, but after I shared my experiences with management, they vowed not to work with them again. 4. This app has been out more than 3 years, but only 6 ratings? Is this really that far under the radar or were they reset at some point due to bad reviews? 5. I really want to believe this is legit, but too much doesn’t add up here.

Great app. Easy to use with lots of participating restaurants. Love the Feed the City Events as well. It’s such an easy way to help out people in your community.

I cannot get it to log in. It gets stuck "loading" and does not recover.

App seems to be working fine with the update. Instead of focusing your negative energy via hate, I think converting it into constructive criticism would have been far better, for your feedback would help improve the application. TangoTab is awesome!

It took a while, but the app works great now - It fits exactly the way i like to find a deal, plus I feel good about feeding the hungry every time i use it
App doesn't work

I saw a news story about this app on a local tv channel saying there are currently 500 restaurants in my area participating. So I signed up...wasn't too comfortable with that. Then I do a search and it comes up with zero results within a 50+ mile radius. Deleting app now.
