The other reviewers are right--Tango occasionally drops the connection between the remote and the player. But the developer's advice to turn wifi off on both devices, then turn it back on, is a quick fix that always works (though I wish they'd fix it). I use this app for hours every day. It lets me play all my music. I loaded my cds into iTunes using Apple lossless, then subscribed to iTunes Match. One iPad is a dedicated music player plugged into superb speakers. The other iPad is my remote control. Now I can hear all my music with the best quality, as well as my iTunes Radio stations. This is best app I've ever bought. Don't know what I'd do without it.

This app works exactly as advertised for me. I've always wanted some way to control my music library but still be able to use my phone and I think I finally found it. I installed on a 3rd gen iPod Touch (player) and iPhone 6 (remote) and setup was simple over wifi. Only issue: 50% chance whenever I leave the app on my iPhone, it disconnects and I need to reselect my iPod as the media player.

This app is fantastic with my iPhone 5s and my iPod touch 5! I leave my phone in my pocket as my remote and my iPod is plugged into surround sound stereo speakers as the media device. I'm so happy I bought this app. I can now play any song I want from my iTunes library from anywhere in my room without having to get up and walk over to my iPod. Buy this app!

I have an old iPhone that is used to play music and I love being able to change the volume and songs. The app works great.

The upgrade to the program has made this incompatible with older versions. Funny thing is, with an older iOS device like my iPod Touch 4, you can't load the newer version:(. Bad change control and a waste of money.

I was reluctant buying this after reading one of the reviews saying that it would not work with older products. I have a second generation iPod touch that I use primarily for music now and this app works just fine on it. The price was a little high for an app but since it is basically the only option for what it does, I guess it was worth it.
What about Pandora or other music streaming apps?

Pretty cool but would be even better if I could control Pandora running on my other iphone vs just iTunes related sources

DEAR TANGO DEVELOPERS: PLEASE ADD GESTURE CONTROLS !!! This app is an AMAZING & INNOVATIVE way to browse and control all of the media stored on any of your other iDevices! I use my iPad as my car's Media Player and my iPhone as the Remote Control. This app makes them both a match made in Heaven! All commands and selections work instantly with no lags or delays at all using Bluetooth or Wifi. I just wish it had Swipe/Gesture controls to change tracks or volume without having to look down at my phone while driving. I WOULD EVEN PAY for this feature because it makes me & my passengers safer. Still an amazing app nonetheless!!!
