Great port of a beloved classic
ajamous

Nice port. I'd love to see a few improvements: -option to speed up the fight and other events by clicking the screen -sound -paid app option without advertising -native ipad version

Worth while for fan of original
one shifty one

Good game. Very close to the original apple game. Can play for hours. Only a few issues though. Never get more than 10 ships attacking where the original game the fleets would get bigger and bigger. Now once you have enough guns there is no challenge on the attack as you can take all 10 ships out in 1 volley. Another more of a glitch issue is you have to manually enter every dollar depositing or withdrawing. Cannot use the all button shown to make it easier like when dealing with cargo. Overall though very good game and extremely happy with.

Nice port

It's a nice port and very much like the original I played in 6th grade. but not as good as the palm port was Needs a few improvements. 1) speed : it's painfully slow to run 2) no auto fight 3) no max fill for cargo 4) only 10 enemy ships to fight when I remember hundreds as you got further in the game. All that aside its an excellent representation of the original game in looks/feel and speed of play. A few improvements and it would be hours and hours of fun.

Favorite game when I was a kid

The only problem I see with the app is that the retire button is on the Hong Kong screen. It is very easy to accidently hit the retire button when you and going into the bank. Effectively ending your game. Im not sure I speak for everyone, but when I have 3.6 Trillion in cash, with a ship full of goods, trading for 100+ years, and hit that button, It ticks me off. It should be moved to the Main screen where the resume and new game buttons are. Or you can just put a confirmation screen in that warns the users what is about to happen. Other than that one problem, the game is fantastic.

Turbo??
arronlarson

Maybe incorporate a turbo button for faster fighting against other ships

I love it! But how did you fit the cassette tape into my iPhone? One star off though....game won't register my high score in GameCenter.

Missing one important thing

The "bug" from the original game allowing you to overpay Elder brother Wu and rack up crazy interest isn't there. Bummer. I'm uninstalling.
