Didnt work on apple watch

Mike Peezy

Kept circle spin not loading app

Good idea, but not usable

Metronome stops when watch screen goes blank. Haptics too weak.

So close...

Love the idea but am struggling with getting it to work. I play guitar. When I turn my hand to grab the fretboard the app turns off. It doesn't always work even when the screen is on. I also could really use an audible click. I do like the simplicity and layout of the interface. I'd gladly pay for that function.

Fantastic, accurate, and beautifully designed!

I was going to try writing a metronome for the Apple watch, and now I don’t have to. The interface is beautiful, and the tempo seems accurate as well (I tested it against another metronome). It’s perfect if you need to get a quick reference tempo - for practicing it’s probably better to have a real metronome. Kudos to James Chung! There is a very nice feature about this 14-year-old developer's visit to WWDC in Cult of Mac. If I could make one suggestion it would be to make a watch face complication, so we could get access to the metronome at any time. Thanks for a great app!

A seriously great idea!

Obviously it needs some work. It won't keep tapping when the screen goes black. This is not the fault of the developer, though. Apple Watch is still in its early stages and Apple hasn't released a lot of tools that allow apps to work consistently in the background yet. Keep up the good work!

Not even working

This app won't even open on my apple watch connected to iphone 6s. The little spinning dots kept spinning for minutes and nothing happened even after i reboot the device and reinstalled the software. Not recommended

Buggy

Love the idea, this app is not reliable for real use since the app stops running the haptic motor if the screen sleeps from moving your wrist away from the position you place it in to view the screen.

Great design, BPM Fail

Had high hopes for something like this, as there's not a lot of great Apple Watch apps yet that really utilize the simple, quickness of what the watch UI represents. Heard bout this app and thought "perfect!" A quick and simple BPM counter for musicians looking to get something quick in the moment without having to pull our iPhone or Mac out to figure out. Great design, simple interface but lacks one major thing- accuracy! Not sure why the BPM counter has to be on the small tiny bottom square of the screen when you could make use of force touch or something in the larger part of the surface. Also the metronome counts in 2/4 but when you spin the dial it goes to 4/4? Confusing when trying to go between the BPM counter for reference in a song and then switch over to the metronome screen to get in halftime. Really hope this review helps cuz I would LOVE to use the watch for something like this and would rep for the app big time if the functionality was there.

Exactly what I was looking for!

Celloforte

This is exactly what I was hoping the Apple Watch would be able to do! I'm very disappointed in the metronome apps that simply act as a remote for your phone. This is not the case! 3 stars because it needs some work, it's not super accurate, and it does stop when the screen goes black. Please keep working on it! This could be a great app!

Great idea but...

The idea is fantastic. However the app needs to be able to stay in the foreground and keep plugging away instead of the screen going black and losing your beat. Also the haptic strength should be much higher. Get these things fixed and this could become an awesome app.
