Not really what I was expecting

I was looking for an app that would use the barcodes to add up the prices. I've tried using this app at grocery stores and brand name stores and they still insist on scanning all of your items. As a seasoned cashier, even I wouldn't be so trusting to someone else showing me one barcode and a cartful of items. It's a great idea, but I could see the barcode scanner being used to scan the UPC code and then totaling the items (based on what store you were at). It has potential, but the current idea does not work with mainstream stores. The risk of theft skyrockets when you allow customers to scan their own items, then show one barcode, then to walk out of the store.
